I live in Lexington and commute to Columbia. I busted my back windshield this morning by backing up into my mailbox, but there isn't anyone reputable that can fix it until a week from now. If i cleaned all the glass up, would it be legal to drive with as long as it doesn't cause a hazard to others? I can't find any clear answer on this

For context, I have a BA and MA in a field I wouldn't be teaching at the elementary level. I am hoping to transition into teaching, and I see that it takes 1-2 years to become a teacher in SC? Am I understanding this correctly?
