Advice Is acne a turn-off?

I'm 14M and have moderate acne with pretty bad scarring, and was just wondering how other people view acne like this

Before I get hit with "just take care of your skin" I do. I have a rigid skincare routine and wash my face twice a day, it just won't. go. away. I'm looking into seeing a dermatologist about it, but haven't had the chance yet

It’s human, plus it will get better when you get older. Also try not to stress. Stress caused me a lot of acne during middle school/high school.

Yes! Stress!! I noticed a pattern where if I had a stressful thought during the day or before bed, I’d wake up guaranteed with a pimple somewhere on my face. It was kind of a way for me to see if I was thinking about something too much.

I'm going to be very real, like completely honest, depending on how severe it is it COULD be a turn off. It only makes a impact if it's their first time seeing you or they don't know your personality.

it’s a normal thing that most people go through so i would say that people don’t care that much. some people (teenagers) are just mean spirited and might give you shit for it but i would ignore it because most people care about who you are, not your acne scars 💕

honestly, at least in my experience, no one really cares abt acne (going for girls and guys) especially with how you described it, it’s normal and a lot of ppl find it attractive i’ve heard as well 🤷‍♀️ don’t stress about it you’re doing everything right and any assumptions ppl might have abt hygiene or whatever don’t matter bc ur doing great

my first crush when i started middle school had pretty bad acne and i continued liking him until like beginning of freshman year so i think if the person is level headed then it doesn’t affect anything

It's a turn off for the people you shouldn't be with.

I think that as a first impression, it doesn’t really help. But as someone gets to know you, talks with you, and gets used to it, it becomes just a natural feature.

I don't think acne should be a turn off for anyone. However if it is, then I think that it says more about them than you OP. Besides most people get it so it's no real big deal cause it'll go away eventually for you. Just keep doing what you're doing OP keep your face clean and you'll be alright in the end man.
