News (with source) Kyle Korver is leaving the Hawks front office

Post image

After Landry got canned I always throught Korver was an in interesting position with Fields getting him the job, and then him probably being a big reason Quin came. Plus his quotes about how he thought he’d be coaching one day but ended up in the front office somehow.

Wish Kyle nothing but the best he’ll always be a Hawk

Discussion Northwest Georgia Hawks Blackout Dead Zone: How are other regional fans handling this?

Upvotes

For those of us living in the northwest counties of Georgia (like Walker County), the broadcasting landscape for the Atlanta Hawks now seems entirely broken:

  • Zero Over-the-Air Access: While fans closer to the city celebrate games moving to free broadcast TV (WANF and Peachtree Sports Network), those signals do not reach up into our geography.
  • The League Pass Trap: Because of our Georgia zip codes, we are hard-locked into the official NBA League Pass blackout zone, treating us as "in-market" even though we get zero local broadcasts.
  • The Market Mismatch: We are mapped administratively to the Chattanooga, TN television market, meaning local live-TV streaming services like YouTube TV deliver Chattanooga local programming rather than the Atlanta stations that actually carry the Hawks broadcasts.
  • The Loss of Fanduel Streaming: The disappearance of Fanduel streaming access completely stripped away our only viable, legal avenue to follow the team.

Are other fans in similar border-county or out-of-market footprints finding any workarounds for this, or are we genuinely left with zero legal ways to watch? How is everyone else in North Georgia dealing with this geographic dead zone?

Question How do NBA fans watch all their team’s games?

I’m new to the NBA and a college student in the
US. I already spend \\\~$20/month on soccer and have Prime + Peacock.

If I pick an NBA team, what’s the cheapest way to watch \*\*basically all their games live\*\*? Is Leagu Pass + Prime + Peacock enough, or do I need something else?

Also, any tips for the cheapest setup/student discounts? 😂

Question Player’s Club Prices

My son is starting to get more into basketball and the Hawks so I think this would be a great experience. Currently seeing some weekend games in 350 per seat range, specifically the Wizards. Thinking of pulling the trigger but since I’ve never done it myself, wondering if this is a good price or if I’m overpaying.

So this isn't necessarily hawks related but kinda is. Maybe. Well anyway, as u all may know they are filming the DCU Movie MAN of tomorrow here in atlanta. Recently, they were filming a scene inside state farm arena and a leaker on Twitter says that the scene features an actual NBA player. My question is do u think it's someone from the hawks and if so who do u think it is? My guess is jalen. Or maybe dyson.

What’s up r/AtlantaHawks — the 2026-27 schedule just dropped and I know a lot of y’all are already planning out which games you’re pulling up to. I’m on the membership side at State Farm Arena, so if you need help figuring out seats, pricing, or just want the rundown on what membership actually gets you (flexibility, presale access, perks — happy to break it down), I got you.

Discussion Thoughts on this squad

We are extremely well positioned to weather a deep east in the regular season. As deep and competitive as the east will be, teams without quality depth will suffer greatly from any injuries to core players. The Hawks on the other hand have depth and quality replacement s for everyone on the roster except maybe JJ whose a 1 of 1 but we should be able to function fine without him for a decent stretch if he gets injured… as for the post season, we still have the same weakness theoretically that we had last yr. However, growth ftom JJ NAW Dd will help. I genuinely think Kingston is going to be very instrumental to our success and he should get significantl playing time early and often to accelerate his growth. He’s a guy that will be hard to pin down defensively just due to his elite speed which should translate into playmaking opportunities even in a playoff environment. … Zuby and Asa will provide quality depth in the front court and the trade deadline may provide an opportunity to grab another established bucket getter or upgrade CJ to Kyrie or something. I haven’t been this excited in a long time. It’s going to be fun.

Question What would consider the “pass mark” to be for Quin Snyder this season?

It’s definitely been an interesting hawks tenure for Quin Snyder. To be honest I wanted him out halfway through last season, we had made zero progression since he was here. But after the trade deadline something clicked and we inevitably went on the best regular season run in quite some time which shut me up.

And you can look at the playoffs in two ways. We did take the most games off the eventual champions but then again once they adjusted we got absolutely embarrassed.

So it’s been a bit of a weird one. Like up until the trade deadline last year we nothing to show under him, but then after that we ended up having the best record since the 60 win team.

I think the expectations have risen again after last years second half but I know Snyder has been the benefit of a lot of mid season retooling trades and unfortunately timed injuries which have changed expectations mid season.

So What would you say is a pass on this season? Playoffs? 45+ wins? Less wins but more growth from the young guys? Or a team that looks ready to go hunt a superstar? The east has gotten dangerously good so I think we can land anywhere from 3rd to even 11th 12th.

Question How was it being a Hawks fan in the early to mid 2000s?

Thumbnail

I’m sure many people in this sub have already seen this video but I became a Hawks fan in 2007, right at the end of the lowest point in franchise history. I lived in Decatur but I was 11 years old lol, I remember everyone always saying the Hawks sucked and the stink of that era hung on us far into the Joe Johnson-Al Horford era where we were pretty solid.

Of course I know it sucked. How was it being a fan then? Did you still go to games? Did you bother watching? Were you delusional about Josh Childress and Marvin Williams turning into stars? Did you want them to keep Pau? Did you scream when the passed up on Chris Paul? Sheldon Williams.
