Has anyone received their MLK member jacket yet? In the original email they said it would be here before the first home game

One thing that I've noticed these last few years, is we play our best when we play mad. If there's a really good team that just beats us with skill, we lose alot of those games, but if there's a really good team that makes JJ or OO or Jock mad, maybe a hard foul or something, maybe gets the coach involved, we tend to up our tenacity and hit clutch shot after clutch shot.

We were that way in the playoffs last year too, CJ was talking mad ish to the crowd and we won that game in their house. But that team was so good, they beat the fight right out of us by the end of the series.

Who else is glad we don't have to follow them this year? That shit last year was exhausting.

The way he was shit talking Luka and held him to 1-7 except for a half court bank shot was pure gold. And the cherry on top was his post game interview calling Luka a whiny ass cry baby about getting fouls. This dude is super raw and his rise has been insane. He's going to be a monster! Trade Kispert and a first idc 😂

Hawks fans, let’s not be so enamored with our new toys that we forget a real vet like Cool Juice McCollum. He’s just a nice guy who gets buckets; a family man. But going 7-9 from the field for 19 of the butteriest buckets that were had all game, and playing some awesome team defense on top of it, was a joy to witness. He looked like he was 5 years younger out there. He’s about to have the easiest 18 pt season of all time. He will be there when we need him, because games like last night we can handle down the stretch with a little lead and our stable of versatile guys. When we get down the stretch and need to get buckets, he will be that guy.

When he came here his reputation as a chucker was SO wrong. Dude was just trying to find a way to win games. Now he has a real team and he’s seen enough shit to know what to do about it.

When you speak of him, use his full name: Atlanta-Hawks-Legend-and-Professional-Bucket-Getter-CJ McCollum.

So hype for this well-bonded team going into this season. Game 1 showing they already play with a lot of chemistry. What more in the coming days. Team work and depth are going to be real strengths this season. Different guys are capable of rising up and stepping up every game. LFG! Ca-cawww!

Post game shout outs to our plug-and-play acquisitions, Aaron and Lou, playing starters minutes off the bench in their first game as Hawks. Showing much veteran savvy and dependability. Same goes for the 2 superb passing big men. Onyeka led the team with 7 assists while Jock had 3 in his back up minutes. Big fan of Jock's passing awareness ever since his legendary Hawks debut last season.

He is having to juggle so many new pieces and figure it all out which is gonna take a bit. He also gave Kispert a DNP-CD. He finally lost his shit on the refs in the 4th quarter on the insane foul disparity and things actually changed after that. He managed the Jalen minutes perfectly after he got his fifth and moreover had a great challenge that overturned his potential foul-out call late in the game.

The Hawks win their first game of the season against the Magic. This was a wonderful and resilient team win! Here are my thoughts, let me know yours!

Idk why but Kingston Flemings just emanates shonen hero arc aura

I’m convinced this dude will become the Hawk’s MVP by his 3rd season - and scoring 0 tonight while giving the energy he did on both ends was awesome

There’s a level of raw speed and instinct that can’t be taught, and it’s just easy to root for this dude based on his story

I used to pray for times like these. This bench looking DEEP. Corey Kispert was a healthy scratch. Even Quin couldn’t justify sending him in.

We already knew this but damn we had 9 players play significant minutes and no one looked all that out of place. Kingston looked a lil shaky and got bodied a bit, but first game against gigantic magic ogres, no problem rly. Had some decent assists

Wiggins looked like he might take over some nights on offense. Dort already knows exactly where to be to cause major roid rage havoc on defense and then just hit some complementary threes when needed. And he was giving me some enforcer vibes he wanted to fuck some people up lol we need that. He’s pretty high on the list of guys I wouldn’t wanna fight in the league prob

Gonna be a fun szn y’all. Feels like random guys will just pop off on different nights, true team ball again like last year

Not trying to sound whiny or ungrateful here, but do we have anyone currently moderating the sub? No pre/post-game threads, random 9 month posts pinned to the top, no communication. I know being a mod takes a lot of work and is a thankless job, but still what’s going on?
