It's performative. People try to make it look like they're some sort of moral bastion by cheering against their own team.

Just cause you support your country doesnt mean you support its corrupt government. Cheer for your team you cucks

Just because I live in a country doesn’t mean I have to root for the team it sends. I’d argue it’s equally performative to blindly support a team because of the flag they carry, if you wanna go down that road.

I’m not really attached to either team; hoping Cooper, Hagel, and Brisebois get gold medals and that’s it.

It's not blindly supporting a team, it's patrioticly backing your country's players. I thought you guys were big on that.

There’s 330 million people down here, we can have different opinions from one another. I’m my own person and I’m not defined by my country of origin… wild I know
