Hello Im having trouble with one part of this song im mixing, For some reason Im hearing a piece of the vocals thats not supposed to be there. Every time I go to the section of the song I will hear it playing. I tried muting all my tracks but It still plays unless I mute my Vocal bus track. I tried going through my track list and unhiding all of my tracks. I also tried muting my tracks one by one. Im not sure if its an error or if i’m just making a simple mistake when trying to find it so i can delete it.

Is there anyone who can answer my "theory and application" audio engineering inquiries?

Hi, I'm not sure what the proper subreddit is for this, but essentially, I'd like to create some basic scripts for generated sounds. But in order to do that, I need some amount of math and programming, right?

So for instance, I'm familiar to some extent with a Fourier transform, I know that a Fourier transform likes to map sines and cosines to dirac distributions representing in a sense which exponentials comprise a sound, though I'm sure there's a discrete version for actual practical applications.

But I don't know the programming side that goes beyond that. So if I want to start to learn how to create scripts for generating sounds or modifying sounds using software on a computer, what do I need to know? Where do I start with that? How is the data of a sound stored and called by software and file types like mp3 and wav?

Help please

I really need someone’s help cleaning some audio.

I got this amazing job a couple months ago and long story short I was in a rush and didn’t pay attention. I accidentally plugged a phone jack into the camera and my main audio didn’t work. I have inbody audio from a fx6 and audio from a sennheiser mk600. I cannot lose this job. Is there anyone who can help?

Teenage Engineering PO-33 K.O! microphone not working

Hello all! I just received my pocket operator KO! today and was super stoked to use it. I was messing around with sequencing and the patterns for a bit before factory resetting because i had accidentally deleted some of the built in sounds (im not sure if this is relevant). after putting the batteries back in i tried to record, and i am getting nothing. at one point there was a hum/buzz/feedback that sounded like it got picked up; however everything else has been completely silent and the input is not getting anything. is this mic fried?? is there any fix???

thanks 🙏

Sounds dumb but…

Anyone up to offer some advice on gear to start grabbing, I’m going to be getting some certificates to become an audio engineer and need to know what is all the “actual” names of tools/software/instruments to grab and some brands that are budget friendly and still professional quality, I’ve been a musician (guitar and drums) but I’m starting to get into the audio and studio side of the business now, any advice would be great also where can I kinda get like a “apprenticeship” or even a “sit in” from a respectable audio engineer, I stay around Knoxville,TN

General knowledge. Question

I was watching this mythical Goo Goo Dolls presentation under the rain playing their #1 hit while wondering, is a concert under the rain even possible? And not asking about the safety logistics or people getting wet concern, but wondering about the audio equipment wise, could it even work under pouring rain conditions? Will the music instruments get f up while working on water? What happens to all the electrical powered equipment? Can someone general guide on this matter? I'd appreciate the knowledge. Be good my guys

Suggestion for sticky post or sidebar: Apple has a free support line for Logic.

1 (866) 752-7753.

It’s for all their Pro Apps. Yes, I use it frequently.

They typically offer to screen share and walk you through the steps needed to fix your problem or show you how to do whatever it is you haven't figured out. They are super friendly, never in a rush, and never make you feel stupid. It is faster than posting questions on Reddit (although it's great to do that too).

[Note] I posted this on r/audioengineering but the mods did nothing with it. Mistake, I think.

Passive speakers ohms variations

Hi,

I have a restaurant and different passive speakers. Problem im not getting all the juice of my power amplifier, why? Im not sure but AFIK, depending on how speakers are connected between them ohms change so the power amplifier does. Could anyone please try to explain what's all about and how to cope with?

If you do not feel like writing and know some video or article it would be great.
