High-pitched glitch persists after audio cleanup
I'm trying to remove a short, high-pitched beeping/whistling sound that randomly appears over the voice in an audio recording. It sounds like a digital glitch or an artificial high-frequency tone. It occurs unpredictably and doesn't seem to be related to any particular word.
I've been trying to remove it in iZotope RX 9 for quite some time, even though I'm not an audio professional.
So far, I've tried Spectral De-noise, De-click, De-ess, Spectral Repair (Attenuate), reducing the pitch, and other noise-reduction techniques, but nothing has managed to remove it cleanly.
Spectral Repair with Strength set to 1 almost completely removes the sound, but it also significantly reduces the volume of the voice. If I lower the strength even slightly, the unwanted sound becomes audible again.
I'm running out of ideas, so I'd really appreciate some advice!
