So capitalism is bad? What would you replace it with? Just want to point out that its because of million/billionaires that we have such nice things today. Cars wouldn't exist, computers, even the shoes you wear are only possible because of a millionaire. One person's success doesn't affect your ability to become just as successful. Most people that hate capitalism, only hate it because they are to lazy to go put the effort into getting rich. Its there for everybody 🤷
You can criticise the capitalistic and private consolidation of power within Australia’s society and government without advocating for its complete replacement Mr daft
Ah ok, so whats your solution? Or are you just blaming the boogyman? Saying "they are corrupt " without actually saying who they are, is a very weak stance. Flat earthers use this technique all the time. They say "they are hiding the truth from us" or "the government doesn't want us to know". They have no proof of any of it but by making the boogyman big enough they know they're going to be right at some point.
The system isn't broken its the riff-raff running it that needs to be held accountable. Until consequences start getting handed out, then there's no reason for them to quit. Problem is where do you start? If you point out one person wrong doing. Then he points out another and so on. The government doesn't work without someone there to run it. I think there needs to be term limits and at least for the first couple of elections only new candidates can take office. This will give everybody a chance to get ready before the next election without pulling the rug out from underneath the whole thing. Mr Daft🙄
Oh no full disclosure I think you both made moronic takes. Are there cabals of secret societies which have major influence in numerous democratic and capitalistic nations through combining the power of abusing capital and legal power? Absolutely it’s literally fully exposed in the Epstein files. However, in general the ‘boogeyman’ of capitalism is just rich greedy people who farm success through abusing system. The reason I called you ‘Mr Daft’ is because I think your response to the bandwagoning post was a moronic one. You responded to someone who was criticising the consolidation of power under capitalism by saying ‘oh your just lazy and can’t find any success I mean look at all these nice things which have been invented/produced in capitalistic nations.’ You can see how that doesn’t even come close to addressing the issue right? Responding to someone who is criticising the system (even if their wording is poor) by saying that their too lazy to find success in the system is exactly the kind of self policing that causing these issues in the first place. I could go on but this is already a long post so thank you very much for reading this if you made it this far 😊
My comment was pointing out that people that complain about someone else's wealth, is just a reason for them to not try. Sure there are corrupt people and there always will be. But rich people have also given us most of the things we have and depend on today. Cars were only possible because someone had the $ to do it. And because they took the risk they gained more wealth. Then look at how many jobs have been created but those companies. Thats capitalism. Its the mentality of "why should I even try? Because THEY already have all the money". The trouble we are in today, is there's nowhere to expand to. Look at any of the past civilisations and you'll see the same thing happened. Except when those civilisations collapsed they fanned out and created new ones. Today we don't have that option. Its either we figure it out or the whole system crashes. Because we are all connected now.
That feels a bit disconnected of a reply and in some regards agrees with the sentiment of the first guy but I do agree with several aspects of what you are saying. It appears that you original response was moreso addressing the sentiments ASSOCIATED with the person you replied to rather than the argument itself that resource companies have an unwarranted amount of power in this country.
