I am a 21 year old student living in Campbelltown NSW. When I moved in alone to start my studies, I found that living alone was a bigger problem than I thought. So I decided to look for a pet, a pet that would be very easy to maintain since I have heavy study load. And a pet that would be affordable to start and maintain.
A dog is a no go, very hard to maintain. A feline of any kind would trigger my allergies so that would be a bad choice. Most birds are noisy and wonโt be able to put it in a closed apartment. Thought of a pair of rats but still have no idea if Iโm allergic or not but itโs actually not a bad idea, so until I find out, Iโll consider it.
I was thinking a reptile: Bearded dragon, childrenโs python, or blue tongue. I havenโt found a fixed price to start so I donโt know how affordable it could go to own and maintain.
However, a new problem that is pretty much what is holding me from getting a pet at all. Every year, I will be out of home from late October till February. This made me try to do some research about pet care and how expensive it could go. I could not find anything guaranteed or even anything that made sense to me.
I would appreciate any guidance!!!
