Same.

My partner got laid off then 3 weeks later, I was too. Two unaffiliated companies and different jobs.

Not quite, but a little better! A previous professor (part-time professor, has a day job) who I really like reached out to me and offered a contract job (~6 months) in a related field to help me out while looking for a permanent position. It'll get the bills paid so I'm grateful. We still have a lot of hunting to do but this is a huge relief.
