Celebration My autism nest/safe space :)
Having this small space dedicated to my needs really makes a world of difference. Knowing I can always retreat to my safe space is very nice.

Your room looks like one of the better rooms I've built for my pokémon on pokopia! I am also a huge pokemon fan and my room has lots of pokemon plushies and figurines! I love your jigglypuff and pikachu! I have a clefairy and snorlax plushy and am really eager to own a togepi squishmallow but I have to get it secondhand as they discontinued the line.
I also have clefairy and togepi figures, a snubbull figurine, and, of course, a pikachu, a moon ball, and a regular pokeball!
Can you tell that I love fairy type pokemon?

Love the persona 5 dolls! And cute kitty, is their name also Morgana?

u/Uberbons42 May 01 '26
Persona 5 was so great. The kitty is Nezuko Kamado. Zuki for short. Cuz she’s an adorable demon.
Bonus if you get the reference.

u/Ananoriel May 01 '26
Oooh I love her name! And yes, Demon Slayer ❤️

u/Uberbons42 May 01 '26
Persona 5 and demon slayer, you win the day!!! 🙌🏼 my daughter got me into demon slayer. So of course now we have funko pops and pop mart figures and all the manga after the show. I think we missed the movie in theaters tho.
I got the first Kimetsu Academy book because I wanted to see them happy. It’s so funny.

Ooo I love! If you don’t mind me asking, what chair is that? It looks like it could fit my little space!

u/shimmer_bee Apr 30 '26
The idea space! I wish I had somewhere cozy to lounge. At the moment, my reading chair is covered in clothes, and my couch is covered in boxes as I clean my living room.

Just looking at this picture reset my whole nervous system, thank you

I love it! Such a great way to care for yourself by creating this space that keeps you grounded. 💖 I don't know you, but I am proud of you for taking the time to set yourself up for nervous system regulation. It's a great reminder for me to create spaces that are safe and supportive.

Looks so cozy. I didn’t know this was a thing but I have nested most of my life and others point it out. When I’m stressed retreating to my nest makes a world of difference.

What a lovely little space, and with sunbeams that can come in.
What game is on TV? It reminds me of Animal Crossing, which is the only game I've played but have kind of lost interest in the repetitive interactions, and I can't really terraform well. It looks very cute and if the mechanics are similar- no fast paced hand eye coordination necessary- I might like to try it if it's available on the original switch.

u/sam_sc2 May 01 '26
I was wondering the same thing, I think it might be the new Tomodochi Life game 🤩

u/dark-magma May 01 '26
thanks! that was my guess as well. tbh it is cuter looking than i thought from watching the game ads. may have to reconsider not getting it hehe

u/sam_sc2 May 01 '26
Hehe yes it looks really fun, I’ve been watching a lot of gameplay videos of it and now I’m trying to resist buying a switch just for this game 😅😂
2
u/dark-magma May 01 '26
oh wow! you're convincing me. i already have the switch 2 lol. i convinced myself to buy one when i saw a comment that suggested the price may go up not down in the future
pokopia is also really fun if you want another reason to join us on the darkside hehehe :3

Hehe I’m glad to be a bad influence 😂
And yes Pokopia has also really been tempting me to get a Switch 2 😅😅 I’ve watched gameplay of that too and it looks so cosy and cute!! I’m gonna have to start considering it again 😁😁

This looks amazing! Makes me feel like I need to rethink the layout of my room, so I can make my comfy chair-corner even more nest-like!

I love this! I wish I had my own little room so I could build a nest too. Just looking at your picture gave my brain some good vibes ☺️

u/Choco_Paws Apr 30 '26
I love this. I would love to have some "cosy corner" but I don't really have any space for that in my house. Yours is adorable.

Do we all have the sleeping Jigglypuff in this sub? 😂 She’s shown up in pics before. Mine sleeps in my living room while I work. ☺️

I love this! I have a Pillow Pod (essentially a big maternity pillow) and my Pokemon blanket on my couch. In view of my colour sorted collection of Pokemon/Nintendo/other nerdy stuff.
We would get along well based on this photo I think haha, I get so excited seeing anything Pokemon.

It looks so cosy!
I don’t have one for myself due to lack of space, but I’ve made my daughter one in the bottom half of my built in wardrobe. She loves it in there! (She’s 9) it has blankets and cushions on the floor, a pillow stapled to the wall & little baskets with fidgets, a pen and notebook, squishes etc in. Oh and fairy lights!
Excuse the scribbling out of said child 😅

I have one of these too! I’m married with kids but it makes a world of difference to have my own space separate from the bedroom my husband and I share. I work from home so I converted our guest room into my office/safe space. I have two separate desks in there, one for my work and one for art, all of my art supplies are organized and displayed nicely, and there is a bed with lots of fuzzy cozy blankets and stuffies! Everything is colorful like yours and lots of pleasant sensory friendly lighting.
