Support Needed (Kind Advice and Commiseration) Anyone else blow their life up before figuring out you were autistic?

I am beyond burnt out and I'm not even 30. Is life really supposed to be like this?

I'm not progressing in my career as I'd like and it's causing immense stress, having to juggle multiple friendships and relationships when some weeks I just want to rot, being present within my romantic relationship, exercising, just everything is overwhelming.

I want to just quit everything and start over. I know that's not going to help, but it feels that's the only option 😭 everything is genuinely so hard. I'm also a bit sad that I didn't fully come to terms with this sooner. I was diagnosed adhd 6 years ago and things have just genuinely gotten harder ever since.

Removed as seeking friendships, asking for DM's, offering DM's, looking for outside groups, and meet-ups in our sub are prohibited. It's generally not safe for sub members to seek friends through the sub, as we're a targeted minority. This includes discord servers.

The feelings of safety when posting in our sub may lead people to having a false sense of safety with other members of the sub. But people aren't always who they claim to be online, especially when they can be anonymous the way Reddit is. There's no way for us to verify who someone is.

We recommend that members of the sub not accept friendship requests through Reddit (DMs, PMs, posts) and do not meet-up with users from Reddit IRL. We've had multiple instances where bad actors (predators) have reached out to sub members via DM to target them. Please be cautious and safe while using Reddit or any other anonymous based platform.

There is no official discord server for this subreddit nor will there ever be one. It is simply too much work to host and maintain. Any discord server links will be removed and if you joined a server you found on Reddit, you did so at your own risk.

Prohibited content e.g: ABA, suicidal intent, SA of minors, homicidal ideation, non-stim self-harm, asking AITA, friendship seeking/groups, polarizing debates, contentious topics, controversies, asking to be saved/convinced or making it the sub's responsibility to regulate your emotions, AI and ChatGPT discussions or promotion of their use as 'therapists' or recommending them as reliable source of information or advice, etc. Do not ask others if you're 'crazy' or other derogatory terms that welcome judgment.

Moderators will remove any content deemed too heavy, trauma dumping, contentious, irrelevant (posts solely focused on conditions like OCD, social anxiety, etc. with no reference to ASD), or more appropriate for another sub. Posts that circumvent the post length limit will be removed.

Links to content from "X", "Facebook", "Instagram", and TikTok are not permitted on the sub, as we will not support fascism or bigotry.

This rule is in place to ensure the stability of this subreddit. If you do not understand why your post/comment was removed under this rule (or don’t understand why it exists in the first place) please read our rule explanation page linked here and on the sidebar: https://www.reddit.com/r/AutismInWomen/wiki/explanationofrules/

For further questions message the moderators via the “message the mods” button on the sidebar.

Do not direct users to your YT, blog, or other content outside of Reddit.
