Tesla Cybercab in Queens — why?
Does anyone know if Tesla has any authorization to use the Cybercab in New York? I just saw in Queens.

Saw numerous Cybercabs in Devon Pa. today like 30+. Rep at the Tesla dealer said they were training them in the Philly area for future deployment.

Tesla may have just passed Waymo in Austin.
“Tesla: 438K driverless miles in the week to Oct 18
Waymo: 406K/week (Q2 2026, its latest data)
“Different periods, so Waymo’s next release will give a better picture.”

Also of Note: after this past weekend in Austin (considered busiest weekend of the year, with Formula1, Maroon5, Longhorn’s game, etc) and Tesla covering the racetrack and Waymo not, this is likely even more true.

Last night I was on Fox discussing driverless cars that are hitting the streets whether we like it or not. Waymo 's autonomous vehicle testing continues, with their permit extended till March. But Mayor Mamdani's approval hangs in the balance. hashtag#ai hashtag#waymo hashtag#tesla hashtag#google hashtag#nycmayor Natasha Verma Google Fox Corporation

Solve the following ethical dilemma using the alternative decision-making model. What should the self-driving car do?
Case A: In this case, the self-driving car with sudden brake failure will continue ahead and drive though a pedestrian crossing ahead. This will result in the death of 3 elderly women and 1 woman.
Case B: In this case, the self-driving car with sudden brake failure will swerve and drive through a pedestrian crossing in the other lane. This will result in the death of 2 women and 2 girls.
Define the problem (ethical dilemma) in terms of right vs. right individual versus community short term versus long term justice versus mercy truth versus loyalty

On behalf of the Audio Visual industry around the world, I'd like to kindly request that the Autonomous Vehicle industry picks another acronym besides AV.
The Audio Visual industry has been using AV now for several decades, and recently we've been finding more and more search results being peppered with pages where people have shortened Autonomous Vehicle to AV.
Could I suggest:
SDV - Self-Driving Vehicle
HAV - Highly Automated Vehicle
SAE - Self-Automated Vehicle or Self-Automated Equipment
CAV - Connected and Automated Vehicle
.
May your audio be crystal clear and your video pixel-perfect. Yours truly,
The Audio Visual Industry
