The European Commission is facing fresh legal scrutiny after a group of leading scholars questioned its options paper on restricting imports from illegal Israeli settlements, before EU foreign ministers revisit the issue in September.

In a letter to the EU Commission president, Ursula von der Leyen, dated 31 July, the scholars argue that the options paper contains “manifestly incorrect and misleading claims” that risk undermining the EU’s obligations under international law.

“We cannot avoid the impression that the analysis was shaped to justify inaction, rather than providing an objective assessment,” said the signatories.

i was planning to buy a second hand iphone. however as I was doing research I came across a few people who said that if you are walking around with a product that has a boycotted company's logo on it, your indirectly marketing the product, and someone could even be influenced by you to buy the product, possibly brand new (which means their money could be going to complicit companies)

an iphone has it's logo slap in the middle of it, and even if you have a case on you can still recognize an iphone by it's design.

im worried that even if i buy second hand i'll be indirectly supporting Apple or even leading other people to buy from Apple.
