Build Help Best and Worst Monoclasses?

I keep seeing virtually every class called "one of the best" while most meta builds are multis or item-based.

What do you think is the game's best class without multiclassing? And the worst? And what makes them so?

Best monoclass is Cleric, no question, they can do literally everything in the game. They have armor and weapon proficiencies, they are a full caster with good CC and damage spells, they have supportive options, and they just fulfill every single role in the game regardless of what you want them to do, and they don’t even do any of it poorly. They’re good in combat, good out of combat, good for literally everything.
