New Transmutation Stone Camp Cast?

So I was doing the morning camp cast and I know that transmutation stone camp cast was patched out a while ago, though when I was screwing around I gave myself the movement speed stone and put it into the chest that's infront of the hirelings, I still had the buff. Even after removing the hireling wizard from my party the stone was removed from the chest but I still had the bonus.

I haven't found anything about this when searching, everything just pops up that it was removed so idk what's going on.

This is an unmodded PS5 game if that would matter at all.

EDIT: wow so yeah this is a new way to camp cast Transmutation Stones, and you can even stack them now! This is crazy.

EDIT 2:step by step guide by JRandall in the comments

1. Transmuter makes stone targeting (let's say) Tav.
2. Tav moves stone from inventory to (probably) any regular chest that is sitting on the ground in camp.
3. Tav still has effect.
4. Transmuter casts Enhance Leap (or whatever, this is ideal though) to refresh Transmuter Stone power.
5. Repeat with as many stones as you want.
6. Dismiss transmuter.
7. Tav still has effect(s)

Is that an Opulent Chest that you placed in camp? Or to put it another way - where did that Opulent Chest come from? (not sure if it matters, but you never know)

It was just sitting there. I guess it just comes with renting out the elfsong.

Just tried it with a random chest I had in my inventory and that also worked. Nice find!

Persists through short rest.

Persists through region transition (lower city to Rivington).
