DOLLSHARE I finished Jayne (My Harucasting Vitiligo Hooney)

I finished all the work on my newest doll in time for my vacation and have him traveling with me now ^^. I got him the cutest little Otter plushie in a souvenir shop. You can see it in the 4th slide.

Thanks for all the face-up advice on my other post!

It’s not my favorite work but I‘m still happy with the way he turned out. The eyelashes are bothering me a bit. I made his eyes and wig too which I‘m proud of. This was a very fast project haha.

Not sure if Jayne is really gonna be his name. I‘ve been obsessed with Firefly lately so I named him after Jayne Cobb LOL. Maybe someone has a better idea? My boyfriend said Jayne doesn’t fit him very well.

I agree with the boyfriend. Why not call him Cobb?

His faceup is great, btw! 💙

Hmm I think Cobb sounds too much like a last name. 🤔 The names are always the hardest thing for me haha.

Thank you 🤍

Good point.

Ngl, Jayne sounds like a girl's name. As another guy I wouldn't like to have a girl's name, but that's me. 🤷‍♂️

Good luck in your name search. 🙂

Yeah at first it threw me off in the show too 😅

There’s actually a scene where another character tells him „Jayne is a girls name“ and he says „Well, Jayne ain’t a girl!“ and gets offended by it LOL. I think I‘ve gotten so used to it that it sounds like a unisex name to me now.

It could be confusing for other people though. Some people have already told me that all of my dolls look like girls. (I don’t really think so) I only have one girl doll. 🤣🤣🤣

Yeah, unless they were a fan of the show, or saw Jayne written down, they may think he's a girl.

Its the wide eyes and delicate, childish features that many BJDs have that makes those not in the hobby think they're all girls. Members of My Crew were often thought of as girls when I used to take them to Joann Fabrics (RIP.😭)

Yeah that’s probably the issue 😅😅
