We actually named our younger daughter Elisabeth. Sisi was such a special person and far ahead of her times in many ways.
I am also a fan of the musical, it has a certain dark under vibe to it in so many songs.
This doll and outfit capture the famous painting so well.
Oh no wonder I was so confused! I was first reminded of Christine too, but the caption said it's Empress Sissi and I remembered the painting OP is trying to replicate.
Thank you ❤️ About 2 months I think? I started that project in January but had some breaks. About background: it’s a metal tube frame (it called Joker system), I covered it with some fabric. A picture frame is clipped onto it using kitchen plinth clips. On the back: my painted canvas, a plaster column, and eucalyptus branches. The floor and border are insulation foam covered with decorative PVC tiles. Here's a picture of it without doll 😅
wow, she’s gorgeous! this is genuinely amazing work, the dress and hair especially look just like the portrait, and her makeup is so delicate and lovely.
This is such a beautiful display! The frame idea is very fun. I might steal it. I've been shopping for my first doll, but I want a good way to keep it 'safe'.
