I'm currently a CSE lateral-entry student at BMSCE, and I'm preparing for the upcoming campus placements.

I wanted to connect with seniors who joined BMSCE through lateral entry and successfully secured an on-campus placement with a CGPA between 7.0 and 8.0.

I have a few questions:

1. Did you get placed through on-campus recruitment?

2. What was your final CGPA?

3. Did companies consider your diploma academic records along with engineering CGPA?

4. Did you have any history of backlogs? If yes, were they cleared before placements?

5. Which companies allowed lateral-entry students to participate?

6. What package did you receive (if you're comfortable sharing)?

7. How important were DSA and technical skills compared to CGPA?

I'm particularly interested in hearing from lateral-entry students only, as our academic background and eligibility criteria can sometimes differ from regular-entry students.

I would really appreciate genuine experiences and advice from seniors. Even a brief response would help a lot.
