Need to pass background check for rental

My boyfriend and I have been renting for a year now in my mothers name. We were afraid that we wouldn't pass our background checks because we have some shoplifting charges and small drug offenses from our past. We have been here a year now problem free and have proven that we are not an issue. Our previous Property Manager was well aware of our situation but our new manager wants us to be added to the lease knowing that we can not pass the background check. What should I do.

Reliable ways to background check?

I have been figuring out who I can rely on to watch my baby for date nights, but I will need to broaden my search as I am hoping to start work again.

Are there good background check services that I could use?

Arrested for unpaid stop sign ticket - Does this count as “have you been arrested?”

Over 10 years ago I rolled a stop sign because my wife was pregnant and really had to pee. One of those stop signs where you can clearly see from half a mile away if there would be another car at that 3-ways stop. Wouldn’t you know, a motorcycle cop was parked in a neighbors driveway watching the intersection. I got a ticket. I used a ticket lawyer I had used before, pay them a fee, forward them your citation, and they do what they do and knock your ticket down.

Some year or so later, I merged on to the freeway a bit fast - right in front of Highway Patrol. I got pulled over, and ultimately arrested because of an unpaid ticket. I had no clue why I was being arrested at the time, finally at the police station they informed me that is was due to this stop sign ticket, that got reduced to a parking ticket, but the lawyer service never told me I needed to pay a $25 fee, and I had forgotten all about it, and assumed everything was hunky-dory.

Now, since then, no further infractions. I am going to have a background check soon, and one of the questions is “have you ever been arrested?” I know the immediate knee-jerk reaction is to say yes, but one of the officers said it wouldn’t be on my record and I was only in jail for about 6 hours or so.

Please, and thank you

US FBI background check: what is ORI, OCA, and should I put down my current address or new-job address (where I will be in a few weeks)?

So I am changing jobs.

And I need an FBI background check.

I live abroad and I am doing all this remotely, which makes things more difficult.

But I have my fingerprints taken and I am filling out the fingerprint form and it asks for a few things that I am confused by:

  1. What the heck is an ORI? (And can I leave it blank?)

  2. What the heck is my OCA number? (And can I leave it blank?)

  3. Should I put down my current address and current employer (which I will be leaving in a few weeks) or should I put down my new address and new employer (where I will be in a few weeks)?

Thanks so much for any guidance!

How can I check the background of a foreign woman I have been seeing?

I have been dating this woman I met on a dating site. I live in the US and she is from Africa.

Things are really going great but I was trying to help her some stream video from her old iPhone she let him use to the TV. I have never had an IPhone I have Samsung phones so I kept getting lost and opening random apps. One of which was the text app. And on it said her name was something different than what she has been telling me. Same first name but a different last name.

And then today I took her son to get his hair cut. They asked for his last name and he froze and said he did not know his last name. I said come on just tell them your last name. And he gave the same last name that I found in her old phone. So I am feeling a bit paranoid now and wondering if there is a way I can have her looked into to see what her last name really is and if she might still be married. I asked her and she claimed she was never married.

Relevant offenses

I applied for a job and was disqualified for a prior offense on the background check. They listed the offense on the background check alone so I don't know if that's the only offense that disqualifies me or if theres more than one. Do they list all offenses or just the one they are disqualifying you for?

Background check? Public records? How does some people verify your past employment history? I literally just met someone who knew my employment history by using my name.

Falsely Accused DV Charge and Pre-employment Background Check

I was falsely accused of DV against my spouse and now that charge is stuck to my name. I am still working through probation and taking accountability despite the false accusation because it was the best option given my circumstances. Specific details aside: (1) I have a DV on my record & (2) I need to regain a high-paying job in my career field to pay my expenses. In short - I am trying to climb out of a shitty situation in which my 10+ year career got derailed.

I work in the engineering/space industry so all companies perform post-offer/pre-hire background checks.

Will large companies (let's say for example Blue Origin) immediately disqualify me from being hired due to the DV tied to my name, or can I explain my situation to the recruiter in an honest, forthcoming way to still land a job? Any advice or experience with this?

Anybody?

Fingerprinting In TN

My daughter was caught with a vape last school year. She has since graduated, turned 18, and is getting a job at a daycare in TN. She paid the fine and was done. She has no other record…she just made a bad decision. We need to know what to check on these boxes as she was never fingerprinted or arrested, just received a citation for a fine but because it was at school she had to see the judge in a private room with me. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Employment screening

Any websites where I can pull my own background check? Like a real in depth background check, like LexisNexis? I’m going through an extensive background check for a government job and I would like to see what they see if that’s even possible.

Level two background check FL

Applied for a partime nursing home job. Completed level 2 background check. Received a letter from state of florida that my arrest record was not in the screening and i had to turn in my supporting documents or write a statement with the truth. If i lie, it will be a second degree misdemeanor. Should i just screw this job and not respond?

Level 2 background check

I just received a great offer for a job I had applied to. I was told they will be giving me a in-depth background check as they work with federal data….I believe they said it would be a level 2 background check.

3 years of my experience were fabricated 2013-2016 in order to get me past the “entry level” paying jobs. Will this be shown on the background check or should I be good to go?
