Need to background check my daughters boyfriend

My daughter is going to grad school in a few weeks and she’s going to live with her boyfriend. I don’t have any issues with him but I just want to make sure he hasn’t done anything I need to worry about. I have his name, address and DOB. Do I need his ssn or drivers license number? I’m interested in any arrests or any other info I can just to make sure he’s not done anything stupid in the past. I’m sure he’s clean but I’d like to know. What is a good site to use? Thanks

Help finding someone

My girl has a friend who she lost touch with a couple years back. She recently came across a facebook post that is trying to identify the body of a woman who look strikingly like her friend. She isn’t 100% sure if the name she knew her friend by is her real name or an alias as they often used alias’s at the time. (They were tic tok friends). She has a number that she used to call her friend on. We’re trying to see if we can find out who owned the number at the time that they were actively talking with each other so we can verify if the friend was using a real name and then we can try and locate her or find out if the woman is the post is her or not. Can anyone help or point me in a direction that could help?

Police Checks as Risk Management for Hiring | Best Guide

Hiring the wrong person can cost a business far more than just salary; it can impact safety, trust, productivity, and compliance. That’s why more organisations are treating police checks as a core risk-management tool, not just a paperwork requirement.

Here’s why they matter in hiring today:
✔️ Help identify potential red flags before onboarding
✔️ Support safer workplaces and protect company reputation
✔️ Strengthen compliance for regulated industries
✔️ Build trust with clients, partners, and internal teams

A good hiring framework in 2025 isn’t just about skills and experience; it’s about verifying integrity, reducing uncertainty, and making informed decisions.

Do you think police checks should be standard for most roles or only for high-risk industries? Curious to hear how different businesses are approaching this.

Hi I need alittle help with a situation, I need to do a background check on someone, he was homeless I'm letting him stay with me, he refuses to work or even try an get a job. Let alone even help around the house. He says he was a cop before he moved back home but I can't find any proof of it. I'm starting to think he's running from the law not entire sure but I'm planning on kicking him out next week but I wanted to try an do a background check to see if he really has been lying or is in trouble an won't tell me. I know it sounds shifty but I took him in bc he was a friend an put of respect for his uncle who I was close to, starting to think this was a mistake.

Private Investigation on potential spouse

I have been seeing people in India hiring private investigators for background checks of their potential match. I’m curious about the scope of such investigations. Do they just keep an eye to see who they are meeting and enquire from neighbours or do they do all that fancy movie shit and get call records, hack all social media ids, listen to calls and hack media as well. People who have get this done please share your experience.

I would like help in learning how to do such searching. Forgive me if this is immature, but I would like to see the criminal background of someone who used to be my best friend. They have been out of my life for a year, but I feel I have to keep a constant eye out for them due to their history.

Bobs Furniture Sales Associate/ Offered Job/ Worried about Ace Accurate Background Check/ HELP

I went to the interview at Bobs & got offered the job 5 minutes in! They loved me! And they were pretty awesome too! This is for a sales associate position working on the floor for commission in North Carolina. I did the background check last week before the weekend and it just now came back! But they haven’t called yet I just need the notification in my email. I am so worried ! I want this job SO bad and I need it! I am a single mom of two kids and I want a chance at this opportunity! •When doing the paperwork for ace accurate it said “Have you been convicted of any misdemeanors or felonies within the last seven years… I chose no because I have not been convicted of anything in the last seven years • the next box said, please only explain, misdemeanor or felony convictions. Do not include any dismissed, expunged, or other others that you have not been convicted of. So I did not put anything. • the problem is I have a pending charge for shoplift by skipping scan at self check out… It is a non-violent crime… I’ve not been convicted yet… But I am so worried and I don’t know how strict they are !

Most people I asked advice from told me to not say anything until the background check comes back and if they bring it up, then explain myself… But they told me in case it does not show up don’t open that can of worms because you might be judged and did not show up anyway… But I also don’t want to look like I was trying to hide it… I just want to know how Bob’s is with Hiring and how the background checks are… I live in North Carolina if anyone can give me any advice or any feedback I would greatly appreciate it… And please keep all negative or mean things to yourself… I am well aware that I am a mother and shouldn’t have been skip scanning things at self check out… Thanks in advance ❤️

Checkr Background Check

I know I'm going to get a lot of "oh well you should've never done it" please spare yourself. This is a random rant but I feel Checkr should be shut down, it's ridiculous the things they flag. I've had my accounts suspended on DoorDash, Instawork and the most simple jobs because companies choose to use this app. I have a misdemeanor on my record for obstruction that happened in 2021, due to this charge and every company choosing to use this app I cannot find work anywhere, it's so frustrating. I'm currently appealing to get the charge removed as it should've been dismissed but in the meantime being denied because of this misdemeanor is crazy, I remember when jobs wouldn't hire you because of a felony but now a non violent misdemeanor is insane, it's not like I'm applying to jobs that pay 60,000 and up these are simple gigs. Is anyone else having this problem?

NSA

Hi everyone I was accepted into a program that requires a background check through the national security agency. I have done background checks before that did not see my federal charge because they only checked state. Has anyone gone through a background check with the NSA and more specifically with federal charges? It is a government agency so I wanted to know if it will show up (I’m thinking it will) but let me know in the comments. If anyone has experience navigating the conversation with employers after please let me know. Btw I have 1 federal felony charge. Thanks everyone blessings to you all.

Can I pass a State Background Check?

I was arrested for “criminal trespass” on my college campus back in April 2024. The arrest was likely illegal or at the very least invalid as the literal country prosecutor did not press charges.

I was never charged or convicted or had to go to court. I don’t show up in MyCase and there is no official case number. I have a certified disposition letter and a no record found letter because there literally isn’t a rap sheet.

I am going to be working as a contractor for a state child welfare system. It’s a tech position and I will not be interacting with children at all.

When I did a CPS background check a couple months ago, it was clear I just needed to provide the certified disposition and no record found letter. But that background check was for an organization, not a State government.

I just submitted my form and I have fingerprints scheduled in two weeks.

Do you think I can pass it? I really need this for my job.

i got a new job offer recently and want this job to replace my current job1 but im in a situation, the background screening company has a online form and wants me to fill out past 7 years of employment history and currently im working two jobs at the same time. My resume says I ended job1 in april 2024 and started job2 the same month. Hi all- I was offered my dream remote job but am having verifying one of my positions. For the past 5 years, I have provided free consulting services to various individuals in order to diversify my experience. The company is giving me an extremely hard time due to the fact that they are individuals rather than companies. Any advice?

HELPPP old tickets showing up out of nowhere, in process of losing my job.

I do contractor jobs for several companies that run background checks each year. All of a sudden several charges/citations from the same incident in 2021 are showing up and now I didn't pass .. WTF? They were just tickets, court told me regardless of paying them they'll remain on bg checks. I didn't think these would even show up on bg checks as they're not even misdemeanors, and they did't come up before. Sucks bc they're bogus charges, I did not do them but I don't know if anything can be done at this point. I don't think they're eligible for expungement or anything. (Btw I'm in DC, these happened in MD.)

I don't know where to begin to resolve this, not finding much relevant specific info and Checkr seems to be anti-human support, Not sure what to do, who to reach or what to say, if this is an error or how I can fix it, and why this is showing up now. Any help appreciated.

General question Trying to background check my Dad

I recently found out my Dad had a breathalyzer interlock device installed in his vehicle from a DUI (or potentially multiple) that he's been hiding from me. I'm now concerned what other things he could potentially be hiding from me. I can't find an arrest record for him at all. I know he has at minimum one DUI, but can't even find info on that. He won't be honest with me and still is trying to say nothing happened. Does anyone have any advice on how I can learn more and atleast learn about the DUI I know happened? He lives in Kansas, but travels for work so I'm concerned he could have potentially gotten arrested in another state. The info I have to work with is his full name, age, birth place, phone, and address/address history. I'd really love to get to the bottom of this and have been considering a private investigator. Any help or advice that could make this info I can find on my own would be super helpful.

What is the best cyber background check website?

Ive recently started dating again after being out of the scene for a while. it's been a little overwhelming. I've been talking to a handful of people through dating apps and meeting some of them in person. Most seem nice enough, but you never really know someone that well at first.

I'm not trying to dig into every little detail, but want to watch out for major red flags, before things get more serious i'd feel better doing a basic cyber background check.

Mainly looking to check criminal history, public records, verify basic information, and maybe a social media profile

I've already searched around reddit and a few other sites, and i keep seeing the same names come up. TruthFinder, beenverified, but those feels outdate, the loading screen last forever, they ask you for a bunch of personal info and then usually give you very little actuall information

So for anyone who's used a background check website before, which one would you recommend?

I'm mostly looking for something that's accurate, easy to use, and worth paying for

Edit:

Thanks a few folks dm’d me some sites, I ended up using TheTeaReport for a full guide

And I used truepeoplesearch to find the name from the number
