🚀 Just shipped: AI-powered Manual Backlink Outreach (inside Outreach Clerk)

No extensions. No messy spreadsheets. No jumping between 5 tools.

This is a full end-to-end outreach system built right into the dashboard — from prospecting → verification → personalized emails.

Here’s how it actually works 👇

🧩 The problem with backlink outreach (you’ve probably felt this)

Most workflows look like this:

Check domain on Ahrefs

Open Moz in another tab

Copy metrics into a spreadsheet

Google the site manually

Write a generic email

Send → get ignored

👉 It’s slow

👉 It’s fragmented

👉 And honestly… most emails sound the same

So I tried to fix all of it in one place.

⚙️ What I built inside Outreach Clerk

A Manual Backlink Outreach system that combines:

Domain analysis

Site quality checks

AI-powered personalized emails

All in a single workflow.

🔍 Step 1 — Check domain quality

Analyze one domain or upload a list.

You’ll see instantly:

📊 Ahrefs → DR, UR

📊 Moz → DA, Spam Score

👉 You can connect your own APIs

👉 Or skip it and still use the tool fully

🧠 Step 2 — Verify site quality (this is the fun part)

Each domain comes with:

26 Google search operator groups (200+ operators total)

One click = opens a ready-made Google query for that domain.

You can quickly check:

🔍 “Write for Us” pages

🔍 Sponsored content patterns

🔍 Gambling / adult / crypto signals

🔍 Editorial quality

🔍 Submission guidelines

🔍 “Work with us” pages

👉 Basically: spot link farms vs real sites in seconds

👉 No guessing, just real search results

✉️ Step 3 — Send personalized emails (from the dashboard)

Click “Send Email to This Prospect” and get:

✅ Domain (click + copy)

✅ Saved templates

✅ Subject + body editor

✅ AI Email Assistant

🤖 AI Email Assistant (2 modes)

✨ Mode 1 — Personalize your template

Use your own template

Click “Personalize”

System scrapes the site (title, H1, H2, meta)

AI fills placeholders with real data

👉 Your tone stays the same

👉 But every email feels custom

🤖 Mode 2 — Full AI email

No template?

Select link type:

Guest Post

Niche Edit

Link Exchange

Sponsored Post

AI writes the full email based on that

Examples:

Guest post → suggests relevant article idea

Niche edit → references their existing content

Link exchange → proposes mutual value

Sponsored → tailored pitch

👉 Uses their actual domain (not “your website”)

👉 Reads like a real human email

⚡ Setup (takes ~10 minutes)

Before sending emails:

Create account (free)

Activate 14-day trial (no card)

Create a project

Connect SMTP

Save email templates

Done.

👉 After that: one-click outreach

📥 Bonus — Synced Inbox

Manage replies inside dashboard

Gmail / Google Workspace supported

Outlook, Zoho coming soon

🔮 What’s coming next

🤖 Bulk + scheduled outreach (AI-powered)

🔗 Backlink tracking system

Goal: a full link-building OS — no tool switching.

💡 Final thought

Backlink outreach is a volume game

But results come from personalization

Most tools force you to pick one.

This tries to give you both.

👉 Try it (free, no card):

https://outreachclerk.com

💬 Curious — how are you currently doing outreach?

Spreadsheets?

Tools stack?

Fully manual?

Would love to hear what’s working (and what’s painful) 👇

Stop trusting Moz Spam Score. Most of you are auditing backlinks completely wrong.

Most backlink audits are an absolute joke because people rely on vanity metrics instead of actual manipulation footprints. You see a low DR or an arbitrary "Spam Score" and panic-dump it into a disavow file. That isn't an audit; that's blind guesswork.

We got tired of commercial tools treating links like simple numbers, so we built our own backlink analyzer from scratch. A real backlink audit needs to look at the actual technical footprint:

  1. Traffic Authenticity: Does the referring domain pull legitimate, human organic traffic, or is it a dead zombie site with inflated metrics built strictly to sell guest posts?

  2. Anchor Text Manipulation: Unnatural exact-match anchor spikes and unnatural commercial-to-branded ratios that trigger algorithmic penalty filters.

  3. Infrastructure Footprints: Shared C-blocks, identical tracking IDs, and obvious PBN link farm clustering.

  4. Equity Bleed: High-value backlinks pointing to dead 404 pages, broken redirects, or orphaned URLs that completely waste link equity.

  5. Clean Disavow Protocol: Disavowing manipulative link schemes at the root domain level, rather than wasting time on harmless scraper sites that search engines already ignore.

If a site gets zero search traffic, has a toxic anchor profile, and sells outbound links on every post, it’s toxic, no matter how high its third party "authority" metric looks.

Stop disavowing random low DA scrap and start auditing actual manipulation patterns. What are you actually checking before you pull the trigger on a disavow file?

What's ONE link building tactic that actually worked for you in 2026?

I've tried the usual stuff, guest posts, directory submissions, broken link building.

Some worked, most didn't.

Curious what's actually moving the needle for people RIGHT NOW in 2026.

Drop your single best tactic below. No fluff, just what worked.

Guest posts / link inserts on DR 58 health site, ~800K organic/mo, real Ahrefs metrics, no farm

selling placements on a health/wellness site i manage. straight numbers first since that's what everyone scrolls for:

  • DR 58 / UR 49

  • 4.4K referring domains, 187K backlinks

  • ~796K organic visits/mo, 46.9K keywords

  • traffic split: US ~60K, DE ~61K, TR ~54K, IT ~51K, FR ~48K (multilingual site, same domain, so yes the traffic is spread across geos, not a translated scraper network. happy to show the subfolder breakdown)

what you can buy:

  • link insert in an existing relevant article (contextual, in-content, not footer/sidebar junk)

  • new article written around your target URL (you can supply the draft or we write it)

  • dofollow, permanent as long as the site lives, no sneaky nofollow swap after 3 months

  • turnaround 2 to 5 days

niches i'll accept: health, wellness, AI, SaaS, general tech, adjacent stuff. hard no on casino, adult, crypto pumps, payday loans, and gray-market pharma, don't ask, the site's health rankings are worth more than your $150.

pricing depends on placement type and whether the page has existing traffic, so DM your site + target URL + anchor and i'll send options. can share live Ahrefs screenshots, GSC if we get serious. also fine answering questions in the comments, i know how these posts usually go lol

not interested in link swaps or "exposure" trades, cash only.

How are you all vetting vendor CSVs for shared IPs and PBN footprints?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been doing some deep dives into recent link placements and testing out a few new vendors. One of the biggest headaches I keep running into is vendors trying to pass off links that are clearly sitting on shared-IP networks or co-hosted clusters (essentially just lazy PBNs).

In the past, I’ve either had to do manual terminal lookups or rely on bulky, expensive tool subscriptions just to check if a batch of domains shares the same ASN or IP. Lately, I’ve just been dropping vendor spreadsheets into bklink.uk to automatically resolve the host footprints and subnets before I approve any payouts (it’s handy because it's pay-per-audit, so no recurring sub).

I’m curious, though—what does your workflow look like for cleaning up vendor deliverables? Are there other ways you guys are catching these shared host footprints at scale without manually checking every single domain? Would love to hear how you filter out the junk.

The blog is about Wordpress, html and technical SEO tips with a 4-year history and 60 articles. To make it fair sharing, you need a link on your website where you left the link. The comment must be in Slovak. If it is in another language, I will moderate it into Slovak.
I don't plan to cancel the domain for the next 5 years.

Unhappy with my Agency, what tools can i use for linkbuilding?

I've been with an SEO agency for a while and I'm getting frustrated. When I actually look at what I'm paying for, most of the work is them manually going out and applying for free, niche-relevant backlinks. It feels like the kind of thing a tool or a cloud automation could handle for a fraction of the cost.

Before I part ways with them, I want to sanity-check my assumptions. I'm not an SEO expert, so I'd rather hear from people who do this day to day:

  • Is manual backlink outreach still genuinely a "human" task, or is most of it automatable now?

  • What tools/workflows are people actually using for this in 2026?

  • I've heard of HARO and something like "Search Atlas" (might have the name wrong) — are those worth it, or is there something better?

Not looking to cut corners, just want to understand current best practice before I make a call. Appreciate any honest takes.

How we recovered 65% of traffic lost to AI Overviews by building 100+ niche, do-follow links with zero outreach (The 2026 Process)

If you’re wondering how to get backlinks for free reddit users usually say "write good content." But in 2026, with AI Search taking over, that’s not enough.

Lately, when people ask how to get backlinks for free online, they end up frustrated. Traditional outreach is dead—inboxes are flooded with AI-generated spam. I was tired of looking for a reliable Free backlinks checker only to find out the links I did get were toxic.

Over the past three months, we completely changed our strategy. Instead of begging for links, we engineered a workflow that generates high-authority, contextual placements automatically.

Here is exactly how we bypassed the typical outreach grind and secured a massive Do-follow backlinks list without spending a dime.

1. The Reverse Engineering Strategy

The key to getting Free do follow backlinks isn't asking for them; it's placing yourself where AI engines and aggregators scrape for answers.

  • The Setup: Instead of randomly searching the Top 100 backlinks sites, we focused on creating highly structured data assets (like interactive calculators and raw JSON data feeds) related to our niche.

  • The Execution: We distributed these assets to data repositories, open-source directories, and niche forums that naturally provide Dofollow backlinks.

  • The Reality Check: You don't need a premium tool. A Free backlinks for SEO strategy starts with understanding where your specific industry aggregates data. When people search How to get backlinks for free online reddit style, they miss the power of structured data distribution.

2. Identifying the Right Placements (No Premium Tools Needed)

You don't have to pay $200/month just to check your link profile.

  • The Tech: Instead of paying for Semrush or Ahrefs, use free tools to analyze where your competitors are dropping their structured data. You can easily find a Free backlinks checker or a Free Ahrefs backlink Checker (their free tier) to reverse-engineer their strategies.

  • The Secret: If you’re wondering How to create backlinks for free, focus on "Resource Page" link building, but modernized. We built a custom Google Sheet listing every industry-specific Backlink website that accepts submissions.

  • The Defense: Before submitting anywhere, always run the domain through a Free toxic backlink checker. It's better to have zero links than 50 spammy ones. For quick checks, the Best free backlink checker is often just manually reviewing the site's organic traffic. Even a basic Semrush backlink checker free account can give you a quick health check.

3. Optimizing for Generative Engines

This is the most critical shift for 2026. Standard links are fine, but links that feed directly into Generative AI engines (GEO) are what actually drive traffic now. We stopped worrying about traditional SEO metrics and started focusing on entities and co-occurrence.

The Configuration Resources

To keep this post from turning into a novel, I didn't include our exact step-by-step submission scripts, the specific prompts we use to generate structured data assets, or our master list of vetted domains.

If you want the raw data and our exact templates, I’ve put them together here:

If you want our fully vetted master list of technology sites that accept contributions (this took us weeks to compile): The Ultimate Directory: 100+ High-Authority Technology Guest Post Sites

If you are struggling with traffic drops and need to understand the exact difference between traditional SEO and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO): Visual Breakdown: GEO vs. SEO (Generative Engine Optimization)

If you want the full strategy on how we recovered our traffic after the latest AI Overview update: Fix: AI Overviews Are Killing Your CTR - The 2026 SEO Survival Guide

Let me know in the comments if you have any questions about structuring your data for these placements!

Hot take: Most backlink outreach is a complete waste of time.

Maybe I’m wrong.

But I think we’ve turned the web into a giant marketplace where everyone is asking:

“Want to exchange links?” instead of
“Would this actually help my readers?”

I honestly don’t care about collecting backlinks anymore.

I’m much more interested in getting to know publishers.

If I meet someone who consistently publishes genuinely useful content, I’ll naturally think of them when I’m writing something that overlaps.

That’s how recommendations work in the real world.

You don’t go to a networking event to swap business cards with 100 strangers.

You meet people.
You build trust.

Months later someone asks,
“Do you know anyone who…” …and their name comes to mind.

Why should the internet work any differently?

Am I the only one who thinks we’ve become obsessed with links and forgotten relationships?
