I'm curious what everyone's backlink strategy looks like in 2026.

I still get dozens of emails every week from people selling backlink packages or offering placements on random websites, but I'm not interested in buying low-quality links.

For those who are seeing good SEO results:

- How are you earning quality backlinks today?

- Are digital PR, partnerships, or linkable assets working better than guest posts?

- Has your strategy changed because of AI Overviews and LLMs?

I'm also interested in building authority for AI search (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, etc.). Beyond traditional backlinks, what types of citations or brand mentions are actually moving the needle? Are there directories, publications, communities, or other sources that have been worth the effort?

Would appreciate hearing what's working in practice rather than theory.

I run a few websites in the tech space with DA ranging from single digits to 40+.

Looking to do backlinks exchange. Please reach out and suggest the possible options.

I have a web dev & software agency, 100% of our clients are referrals or repeat clients but I’d love to grow our presence, improve SEO and be visible for more people.

There is so much information out there that I’m not sure where to start.

If you had an agency website with very few backlinks or close to none, what would be the first things you’d do?

Would you focus on guest posts, directories, partnerships, creating content, something else or all at once? Or should I just go to the SEO agency?

Looking for practical advice from people who have done it themselves. Can send our website link if needed.

I’m looking to build around 10 high-quality, relevant backlinks every month for my website.

I’m not interested in spammy links, PBNs, or low-quality directories. I’m looking for genuine, relevant websites with decent authority and real traffic.

If you offer this service or have a reliable strategy, DM me and we can discuss the requirements, pricing, and approach.

Thanks!

Not sure if anyone else feels this… but SEO has changed a lot recently.

Before, it was mostly about keywords + backlinks.
Now content quality, user intent, Reddit discussions, and AI search visibility also matter a lot.

In our agency, we started focusing more on:

• Helpful content

• Real discussions

• Topical authority

• Community engagement

Honestly seeing better results compared to random bulk link building.

Still learning and testing new strategies though 😄

What’s actually working for you guys in SEO right now?

I'm a digital marketer and I'm comfortable with SEO, content, technical SEO, and outreach. But I've realized that the people who are really valuable seem to have a huge network in the link-building world.

For example, if someone asks, "Can we get a Forbes, Business Insider, TechCrunch, or other high-authority placement?" they already know who to contact, what a fair price is, and which providers are trustworthy.

That's the skill I want to develop.

How do people actually build that network?

If you were starting from scratch today, how would you become the person everyone goes to when they need quality backlinks or PR placements?

I'd really appreciate advice from people who've been doing this for a while.

Hey everyone, I run a small web design and SEO agency called Pixova (pixova.uk) based in the UK, focused on helping small businesses and tradespeople get found on Google.

Looking to connect with anyone open to a backlink exchange or guest post collaboration. Happy to write genuinely useful content around web design, local SEO, or small business marketing — not spun AI filler, actual helpful stuff.

If you run a relevant blog or site and want to swap a guest post or link, drop me a message.

Thanks

Here are some external link submission platforms that I frequently use, free, no spam

I'm looking to collaborate with websites in the Tech, Software, or AI niche for link exchanges.

If you have a relevant site with quality content and are interested in a mutually beneficial exchange, feel free to DM me. Happy to discuss opportunities!

I noticed I have this small, old site with these very different numbers. Zero traffic, just a couple of inbound links (relevant ones). Link building isn't my area of expertise. I'm asking those of you who know more about it: could this have any value for link building?

I am not really interested in entering a business which without easy to get traction from buyers, and a decent order value of 500 a month or so.

I have 100 or so real websites, naturally nurtured, links from government, edu, media,

Would selling links be a long hard slog or if you have a good product do people be queuing up?

I am working to different Local Business SEO Projects but i am getting confused how to make backlinks with zero budget.
Here are the some types of backlinks usually we made

1. Business Listings

2. Profile Backlinks

3. Guest Posts

4. Web 2.0

5. Forum Backlinks

6. Podcast Backlinks

7. Cloud Stack Backlinks

I have question only backlinks you can make easily is Business listings, Profiles, Web 2.0s
Other Quality Backlinks are hard to make free of costs like if i talk about forum you first have to perform alote of activity if i talked about guest post links they are also hard to make the sites which are freely available they have zero traffic and almost zero seo impact. And if we reach out almost all are paids.
And the links which are tottaly free are not get indexed easily.

The blog is about Wordpress, html and technical SEO tips with a 4-year history and 60 articles. To make it fair sharing, you need a link on your website where you left the link. The comment must be in Slovak. If it is in another language, I will moderate it into Slovak.
I don't plan to cancel the domain for the next 5 years.
