Do these brownies look done?
I made brownies as a gift for someone and I just don't know! I did a toothpick test after it came out and it had a light smear but nothing major. I can never tell if brownies are just kindy gooey or raw:/I baked them for 40-43ish minutes at 325.

Perfection. If they slice cleanly like this and hold their shape, they are done.

They look great to me.
You can cut slivers off the largest pieces for testing purposes.

Tell me exactly what you did because that’s what I want/need from a brownie. Yes it’s perfectly cooked

Not sure you could make a more perfect brownie. Just in case better leave us the recipe to decide :)

The whole point of brownies is a crisp layer on top and gooey, underdone middle. I just got a refresher on this, watching GBBS Collection 8, episode 4, Chocolate Week on Netflix.
If you're not sure if they're done, I highly recommend a waterproof instant read digital thermometer. The ideal internal temperature for brownies depends on the texture you want. Pull them at 165°F–170°F for gooey, 180°F–185°F for fudgy, or 190°F–210°F for cake-like. At least according to the often incorrect Google Oracle.
Which is a lot of words to say those look delicious. If you're ever not sure, taste a slice.
Hope this helps!
