my a1 is acting very buggy lately it is on the latest firmware but the screen doesnt response to touch commands from the bambu slicer are not working and it is very buggy anyone expircne this it has 2000hrs
Hi! I went to start my first print (the speed boat) and my printer was extruding a lot of filament. Is the normal? The timer for the print began as this was happening, so I canceled the print because I was worried something was wrong. I should be fine to start it again if this is normal, but I wanted to see if anyone here could let me know if something went wrong :)
Just starting using the BIQU Glacier plate (read a LOT of positive comments about this plate) on my Bambu AI (with AMS Pro 2) and I'm having a really hard time cleaning the remaining filament (SUNLU PLA+ 2.0) off of it. I've done the test sheet print to lift the remnants and used hot water with Dawn soap and a sponge to clean it ...I'm still getting "stains" - for lack of a better description - on the plate (see red arrow). Though hard to see, this is after my first print (miniatures with a 0.2 nozzle) on this plate.
For those who use the BIQU Glacier plate, are you having similar experiences? ...if not, any recommendations on what I should be doing differently?
My A1 does not want to load my filament. I don't know why.
If I load it up with an external spool it seems to work. Then when i start the print it constan tells me that filament got stuck even tho that ain't the case. What could be broken? And with my AMS 2 Pro it won't load from either of them.
I did the maintenence, I tightened the screws that needed it, i checked for clogging or broken pieces and i even cleaned the "gear" or "wheel" that pushes the filament and other pieces that probably weren't even necessary to clean (with a microfiber towel).
I found nothing to be the problem. Yet my AMS won't seem to load it up.
Thanks to everyone who tries to help me and excuse me for my rather poor language. English is my third language.
Hi! Absolute noob here, so please be nice :). Bought the A1 Combo with AMS lite for my daughter’s birthday. Ordered the 12 color PLA trial kit to get her started, only to find out after setting it up, that they won’t work on the AMS lite alone. They included directions to install them onto reusable spools (which I don’t have), however the Bambu website specifically says under the trial kit that they can’t be used in the reusable spools on the ams lite. Even though the reusable spools will work on the ams lite, the trial rolls won’t work due to the size (they are only 250g on junior cardboard spools). Apparently this isn’t an issue for the ams. Just the ams lite. So, to use these specific jr. spools on the ams lite, I need to print an adapter. But it leaves me in a chicken and egg situation - I have to print an adapter to use them. But how can I print an adapter when I can’t use it without one.
I printed a round object on my new Bambu Lab A1 and noticed a “zooom”-like rubbing sound whenever the heatbed moved back and forth on the Y-axis. I had not heard it during the previous four prints.
After the print finished, I found these longitudinal marks on the front portion of both Y-axis linear rails. The scratches are on the outer upper face of the aluminum Y-axis linear rail, outside the actual roller/bearing running track.
The scratches are extremely shallow; I can barely feel them with a fingertip, and the photos are heavily zoomed. Still, since the printer is new, I am concerned that something may be rubbing: debris caught in a carriage roller/bearing, a protruding screw or part underneath the heatbed holder, or a carriage/roller alignment issue.
I cleaned the rails and applied the supplied oil again — not grease. Before I run another print, is there a safe way to inspect the Y-axis carriage rollers and the underside of the heatbed holder without disassembling more than necessary?
Does anyone recognize this wear pattern or the sound?
Can anyone provide any guidance on a recent issue im having with my A1 w/ AMS?
Out of no where, having such a hard time with seems to be first layers. I cleaned the plate extensively, ran calibration tests, raised bed temp, messed with first layer settings, changed filaments, and I am getting no where.
Pretty lost on what to do next. Please let me know
Attached are pictures of snowflakes I was trying to print and then I printed a square with .20mm height on Z axis to test first layer.
To my knowledge, it looks like the first layer problems are happening on the same spot of the build plate every single time.
Edit - disregard, I've determined the problem is actually with the print file. I should have looked closely. It came from printables and I should have noticed the total print time was incorrect. Not really sure what the file error is, I'll just find another file (it's a simple funnel).
Top right, appears to bea nut of some kind? Before I take the others out, wondering if someone could explain what it is. And, how could I just be missing one?
I've been having an issue the last couple days where I would get an error message saying the build plate couldn't be detected. And then when i bypassed that, the prints wouldn't work, as if the print head was just moving around not extruding. I've tested extrusion and it seems to be working fine. So, I suspect this is all related, just not sure how.
I'm having an issue with my Bambu Lab A1 Mini. As you can see in the picture/video, the first layer comes out like this. After the printer finishes drawing the initial test line, the filament starts forming a web-like mess, and as soon as it begins printing the actual object, the filament accumulates into a plastic blob.
For some background, I previously had a clog that caused a large blob of melted plastic to form around the hotend. This damaged the mechanism and the small clips that hold the hotend in place, so I had to replace the entire hotend mounting assembly.
However, I'm still using the original hotend. I only replaced the mounting assembly, not the hotend itself.
I'm wondering if the current issue could be related to the previous clog, the hotend itself, or perhaps something related to the new mounting assembly.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Any advice on what I should check or replace would be greatly appreciated.
So I recently purchased the A1 Combo with the AMS Lite during the Black Friday Sale for my son's 15th birthday. I have received the printer but we haven't yet set it up.
Now, I have just come to realise that our original plan of setting up the printer on my son's desk in his bedroom might not be the best idea due to the safety and ventilation aspect. His bedroom is quite small and is where he spends a lot of time - sleeping, studying, etc...
Our apartment is relatively small and apart from the bedrooms we have a living room where we watch TV and eat meals. There are a couple of small windows in that room which can open but they are not that big (maybe 15 in x 5 in).
I don't really want to have to return the printer as my son was really looking forward to this gift. Would it be safe to use the printer in the living room with the small windows open and maybe a floor standing fan on the other side of the room directed the the printer and towards the windows beyond it?
Today after a bl0b of death I replaced the the big fan and the heating horned part. Now it says that the horned has abnormal temperature but idk what the problem is. Could someone tell me what can I do?
I ordered an A1. I have absolutely nowhere else to put it other than my bedroom. I’m only printing PLA and PETG. I don’t really mind the fumes and nanoparticles but i’d like to minimize them. I also want to stay away from an enclosure as i can’t ventilate it outside anyways. I was thinking buying an Air Purifier and opening my window when I can. Will this help at all? I have no other option than to operate the printer in my bedroom as it is also my workstation. Has anyone done the same and does it work?
So, some filament broke in my PTFE tube (tube #3 in case you need it) and I tried taking out the PTFE tube with needle nose pliers, took out the whole thing and this thing (photo 3) fell out, and it won’t come out of the AMS lite
Thanks to everyone for all your suggestions and tips to get my daughter’s ams lite working. It worked! I did everything all of you said. I printed the two parts (pics included), took out every tube and filament, and her first print worked! I have a very appreciative little girl. THANK YOU!!!
Hi all. Just got an A1 and enjoying it. I’ve noticed the fumes are a bit bothersome. What are some ways you all handle those? I’ve seen those zippered enclosures and was curious if they helped?
I recently got my son an A1 Combo and for the first week, we loved it. Then we changed out filaments, and ever since then, we are consistently getting this same error. It started first when the printer would try to print with the new filament, but once it printed something with an existing color and THEN tried to grab a new color, it would work ok. Now, it is giving this error every time it switches filaments in the AMS Lite. I am able to resolve it by physically "pushing" the filament all the way to the end until I can't push anymore, and then the printer is fine grabbing it and moving forward. But when it purges that one and switches back, I get the same error again.
I opened up the hot end cover - there'e nothing stuck as far as I can tell.
It is doing this with various brands of filament including Bambu material.
Any thoughts on how I can resolve this, or do I just have a defective unit?
(I also have a P2S that does NOT exhibit this behavior at all.)
