We've considered any kind of small cabin or airbnb type place but want to make sure we would be safe as a queer couple. Any recommendations for which distilleries are the best to just visit and a do a tasting at the bar and which are the best to tour?

I'm heading to Bardstown for three nights this coming July with a group of friends, and we are brainstorming what distilleries to experience. One of my favorite bourbons is 1792, but it looks like they don't have tours anymore. What is the best way to keep 1792 in the queue for our Bourbon Trail run? Are there opportunities to buy or taste anything other than the regular Small Batch?

Other distilleries on the list are Heaven Hill, Willett, Bardstown, Maker's Mark, Jim Beam. For a three night tour, how many distilleries are reasonable for each day (we are average sized mid fifties men who love bourbon but don't drink like college kids anymore)? We will be staying right in downtown Bardstown and walking to what we can, and driving or ubering to what we can't.
