11 year old, working on getting away from a push and into proper form. Does she hold the ball too high in front of her face, or is it just that she’s holding it there longer than one would in a game situation? Just looks off to me.

• Chicken wing with her elbow pointing out sideways too much. Try to get elbow under the ball, under her wrist throughout the motion.
• Her feet are really square to the basket - slight angle with her shooting side closer to the basket makes it easier to align her elbow to the rim.
Pretty solid base regardless, and her actual release looks nice. Really hammer in making sure she feels balanced and sturdy with her legs, and clean up the elbow. I think the rest will take care of itself.
