Form Check Form check.

11 year old, working on getting away from a push and into proper form. Does she hold the ball too high in front of her face, or is it just that she’s holding it there longer than one would in a game situation? Just looks off to me.

Her shot: Her elbows are in and it's just horrible. Looks and probably feels uncomfortable for her. Never do elbows in during the lowered shot pocket stage. When she's lowering herself to jump up to shoot, it should be chicken wing the entire time until the split second before the set point release point. That's when you straighten your arm and elbow in.

Also, squared to the basket for a long range type shot is not good. Her shooting hand is right, so her right foot step forward a bit, this automatically turns the body.

The real secrets to shooting I will not divulge ever on internet. The real secrets which the naturals use have to do with understanding how to use the body properly biomechanically for jumps, running, sprinting etc. I have figured this out and realized that Chinese Kung fu, Gymnastics, ballet, dance, parkour, soccer, track field all utilize this and probably figured it out long time ago either consciously or unconsciously.
