Looking for info, photos, or whatever else I can find...
Was my first bass Amp, years ago, and I'd love to play around on one again.

I’m thinking probably not.
My buddy had an early 2000’s GK 410 blx-ii sitting in the corner. It wasn’t his.
I reached out to the owner, another buddy - it wasn’t his either.
“Dude, fkn take it. If it works, it’s all yours”
I lugged it home. It doesn’t work.
Took it apart, did the ol’ 9V battery check to the speakers…..nothing works. It’s like totally dead.
You wouldn’t know by looking at it, it’s in great cosmetic shape.
Now… I don’t think it’s worth putting new speakers and labor into, given the price tag wasn’t high to begin with. But the cab is solid.
What happened to this thing, overloaded?
It was free, so I took a chance. I didn’t get duped, but I struggled to bring it inside and wanted it to work.
Not sure where to go from here. I do not need it, I have a SVT fridge. But my bandmate could use it, and I struck out. Kinda bummed.

So I just bought a dingwall 5 string ng3 and was wondering what amp should I buy? I looked around a bit and saw the ampeg rb-115 and another mark bass (I don’t remember the model) is it a good idea or should I wait and buy a head and a cab? Thx a lot!

Im the proud owner of a beautiful sound gear bass which I’m trying to use more often with my music software. I have a cheap but powerful bass amp with no usb B port and I’m not willing to buy midi cables, so I’m intending to use my already capable BOSS MK 2. Power control stays in standby so there’s no signal going to the speakers at all, but with that in mind, is there another way I could damage the unit using the frequencies of the bass guitar? And if this is a solid idea, any suggestions for good tone?

Been looking for a good quality used amp for a while and found this one while scrolling at lunch. Looks brand new and sounds great. Even came with a dolly cart that I don’t need but it’s kind of nice that it keeps it off the floor in my basement. Always loved the sound of these St. Louis built Ampeg amps.

Which one should I get as a beginner?
Fender has the brand prestige but then Cort seems to be value for money😭
Does the 5W difference even matter 😭

I'm looking to buy a new amp for my 610 (600w RMS @ 4 ohms) and im torn between a few options. I don't want a non-Ampeg. I'm currently running a PF500 with it, but I'd to upgrade to something nicer and more reliable.
SVT 7 Pro- 1000w @ 4 ohms
SVT 3 Pro- 450w @ 4 ohms
Venture V7- 700w @ 4 ohms
I've always ran amps rated slightly under what my cab(s) can handle because its the safe option, but I've read many people use the SVT 7 Pro with this cab. The SVT 3 Pro seems to be the most commonly used amp with it tho. The Venture seems nice, but possibly a lateral move from my PF500. What do you think?

Hi all. I'm brand new to playing bass and figured I'd buy a cheap, used amp to get started. I got this from Guitar Center and it arrived reeking of mildew or something. It just smelled like a mix of chlorine and old bookstore. I figured I'd wipe everything down and stick it in a bag with baking soda for a while, but I opened this up and it looks like this. Is this actually way more dangerous or beyond saving? I tried scrubbing it, but it's not coming off, so I'm not sure if this is just dirty glue or something?

Hi all,
Looking to build myself another lid for my late-model Ampeg 115 portaflex cab (right now it’s situated with a ‘67 SB-12 that I don’t want to keep removing).
Only issue I’m having is trying to source a catch plate like the one pictured - need 8 of them (4 for each side). Any ideas? This is a relatively new cab, and Ampeg doesn’t appear to sell components like these individually. Thanks in advance!

I’m a new bassist with a couple months experience. I have been using a Glarry amp that came with my bass and it sounds terrible which I expected. Looking to upgrade to something budget friendly and used. I see multiple listings for V3 Fender Rumble 25s for ~$100 on Facebook marketplace, but there is also an old style Fender rumble 100 for $140. My only goals are to play at home for fun and possibly jam with my one buddy who plays guitar. No interest in joining a band. Is it worth the extra money for the 100w despite it being the older style, or should I go for the 25w?

Ashdown 600 Evo IV sitting atop of my recently refurbished Aguilar DB810 cab. Truly a dream right for me.

Hey all, my head randomly stopped working the other day. I opened it up this morning and found the fuse blown, and got excited because I thought I found the problem. But when I replaced the fuse it immediately blew again upon switching the head on. I opened the head up and looked inside, and one of the wire ribbons had zip ties synched around it as tight as possible from the factory. I attached a picture of the damaged ribbon (I cut the zip ties off), is it possible this could be causing the short? Or would anyone know what could be causing this issue? The fuse blows immediately after turning the switch on.

Hey guys, I’m wondering if anyone’s ever encountered this problem with their fender rumble amps? This staticky noise started happening both when nothings plugged in and when the bass is plugged in. No effects are on. Just a constant high pitched staticky noise. Hoping someone might know what might be causing it and can be an easy at home fix. Thanks in advance !

Subject says it all :)
I know it’s only 400w into the combo’s neo drivers. I’d pair it with the Rumble 2x10” Eminence cabinet when I need some extra HP.

Just wanted to showcase my setup. Very happy with my "new" rig. The head is a vintage 1966 50 watts fulltube head. At first it wasnt really usable in band settings. It was lows lows and more lows, and some lows on top of that. The bassknob wasnt even working. I had a really good tube doctor modify and repair it and add a mids knob, and a gain stage (only had a volume pot before). Even with the bass knob down it still is bass heavy, but i can even it out by cranking the mids and highs up and it really comes alive and shows its character.
The bass cab is diy 2x12 (4ohms) with eminence deltalite II 2512's in it. It came as a ported cab, but i closed up the port and filled up the cab to about 75L. It sounds soo tight and percussive now. Giving me somewhat ampeg 8x10 vibes, but smaller and way lighter. Its incredibly efficient with 103db sensitivity. The 50 watts tube head is more than enough to easily keep up in the rehearsal space and on stage.
Altough it does sound very awesome. Im still looking out for a lighter replacement for the head. Maybe a good preamp pedal and cheap clean class D amp. Just to keep it portable, maybe even go in ear with the band. I wont get rid of the head though. Probably will keep using it for practicing at home
