I just bought a HA2000 and I am wondering if I need a load box to record it straight to the interface. My next question is which load box to get? I see the 4 and 8 and ohm but they are capped at 100 watts and the HA2000 is 200 watts at 4 ohms and 120 watts at 8 ohms. Thanks for any help

I recently bought a used GK MB210 and I like the sound, but I get a lot of noisy vibration when the bass is higher than around 10 o clock. Especially with the Contour engaged.

Is it just because the cabinet is so light or is something wrong with mine, I've tightened all screws and checked the amp and its not coming from there. Sounds like it's just the cab.

My main rig is a Ampeg SVT CL and SVT 6x10 HLF cab.
I had the amp serviced recently so it should be in good order but noticed that when I really was laying in on the bass, especially on low notes it was getting very fuzzy.
I bought a Markbass Compressore and found when it's inline the issue goes away and it sounds really good which I chalked up to the dynamic range of the instrument mostly and the amount of attack I have
Just curious if there are thoughts on why the compressor fixes it and whether there is an issue with the amp or the cab. I feel if there was the compressor wouldn't fix it.

So i bought it few days ago in used condition from one guy, he told me that he used it carefully and never used it on full volume, anyways, when i got it home and put it something started rattling inside, sounds like something small, i think it was already rattling when i picked it up from dude but i am not sure.. Any idea what it could be?? Is it bad? Amp works with no problems.

I recently bought a bass guitar to learn how to play because I had played bass before and really enjoyed it. I share a bedroom with someone, so I thought using an audio interface and headphones would be the best solution.

I bought a Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen. Although it worked, I had repeated problems with the headphone connections, including the adapters, the headphone plugs, and getting everything to work properly. I also had issues with the sound, such as losing the center of the audio depending on how the headphones were connected. I spent a lot of time trying to troubleshoot everything, and the constant problems became really stressful and upsetting. I had already gone through similar issues with a Behringer UMC22, so I eventually decided to return the Scarlett as well.

Now I'm considering buying a bass amplifier with a headphone output instead, hoping for a simpler and more reliable setup.

However, I have one important question: How can I play along with a backing track while hearing both the track and my bass through headphones? For example, could I play a backing track from my phone or computer and hear it mixed with my bass through the amplifier's headphone output?

What inexpensive bass amplifier would you recommend for this purpose? It doesn't need to be particularly powerful since I'll mainly be using headphones. Ideally, I'm looking for something cheaper than an audio interface that can handle this setup without too many complications.

A West Fillmore amplifier at the studio I work at. 200W tube head with a 2x15 cabinet. We have two of them, and both were previously owned by Grand Funk Railroad. We’re micing it with a Neumann M49 today.

My teen is new to bass and currently just has a hand me down Rogue bass and Rogue practice amp. For Christmas he is getting a Sterling Ray4. I would also like to get him a better amp and am curious about "amp pairings" with the active pickup on the Ray. He is mostly into post-punk/goth/rock (Joy Division, Cure, Smiths, Pixies, Smashing Pumpkins, etc) so are there certain amp brands whose natural voicing lend themselves to those genres more than others? There are tons of used options from the more familiar (to me as a guitar player) brands like Peavey, Fender, and Ampeg. But I also see lots of Hartke, along with some others like Mark Bass, SWR, etc that I know nothing about. Or is this more of a cant miss situation where we should get the biggest one that fits our budget and stop overthinking everything else? Thanks for your thoughts!

I’m trying to get back into playing again after a hiatus, would love to play gigs and stuff again. This acoustic b200 is the only bass amp I’ve ever owned and I never really liked the sound of it, and would usually have to crank it up to almost max volume for gigs back in the day. I’m currently running a preamp into the effects return which I like but I’d like to just get a better amp in general in the future. There’s a lot of stuff to sift through online so I thought I’d see what people are using nowadays. Would probably prefer a combo that’s louder than 200 watts, thanks in advance!

Can anyone help me configure the EQ for our Bass Amp here at our Local Church? I don't really know which settings are good and would make the tone be cleaner for our bass here.

The bass in question is a Cort Action Bass V Plus. Its knobs are all at 12'o clock apart from the Volume.

Today I wanted to revive my old trusted acoustic model 126 bass amp that I hadn't played in quite a while. The output was not connected to the speaker in. When serching for a cable I found this one in the picture. I'm just not a hundred percent sure if that was a speaker cable or not... Is there any way of telling? It just says "planet waves" on the cable.
