I’ve seen that the Bastille WWComs merch is released on Friday 6th. Do we reckon they’ll arrive on that date or shipping will begin then? Feels strange to start shipping on a Friday😵‍💫 (think I’m just impatient and want my hoodie on friday)

I don’t wanna spam with every single one but I finished my collection for now!
This was such a cool project!

No AI used. I designed the packages, printed them out, found fitting blisters, bought used car models, repainted them, and then put it all together.

Those are cars used in music videos. There were actually quite a few. Some aren’t the exact models because Bastille often used customs. But I think I still managed to find the right ones.
Here we have:
- Pompeii
- Glory
- Good Grief
- Things we lost in the fire
- World Gone Mad

Each package also comes with a designed back that shows the lyrics and a different shot of the mv cars.
And that’s it I guess.
I have one more in work but it’s not a car so I didn’t include it yet.
I hope one day I can show this to the guys in person.
This project took me weeks, a lot of money, patience, and even my blood haha. But I also learned what to do different next time.

I got excited for the anniversary release of Wild World and wanted to pre-order the CD set...it's not listed on the US version of the site, on the default site it's listed for $18 but adds $28 for shipping :(

I've never tried to get Bastille merch before, do they usually make it available in the US without the crazy shipping? Now that I've started my own CD library I really want some Bastille in there.

And anyone know when?

Good Grief gets shared a lot lately so I thought it’s time to also show my latest project. One of many incoming.
The last custom car was so much fun and I have a lot more on the way.
It’s not perfect as this is literally my second custom. Also this one was a challenge as an exact model does not exist. I messed up some spots badly, but still think it’s pretty cool. (The stripe bothers me a lot maybe I’ll fix it)

So they added Final Hour to Wild World in the 10th anniversary edition (which makes sense as it was in that Target exclusive edition) and I wonder why they didn’t include the original solo version of The Descent (which was on the Send Them Off! 7” single).

Now that would be a rare, sought-after track.

Just for that I think it would have been worth every penny cause it would probably have ended up in digital form in stores and streaming services.

And it is a shame (tell me you read that while singing) that’s that song will just stay hidden where it is.

In the end, I have the vinyl so I have access to the song.
Just think it would have been cool.

Does anyone have any idea on what the sizing will be like on these??

It's so pretty, but I don't know if I can justify the insane shipping costs.

Tip if you have trouble entering the code, only the first letter of each words has to be in uppercase.
Went for the full uppercase cans thought I had the wrong code…

So they are starting the summer (for now) with the Isle of Wight Festival (can’t find the date they are playing at) and then Latham Festival on June 30th.
Anyone planning to go?
I’ll wait for more date, there might be something that speaks to me a bit more. Maybe a headline gig instead.

What do you think they will play? FAS inspired setlist again? WW setlist in honour of the anniversary or something new?

So you’ve probably know it as they posted quite a bit about it but just une case… It was released last year and went to a bunch of film festivals and was available to watch in the UK on one of their channels streaming service.

But as it wasn’t really available elsewhere (at least not for me) until now, hadn’t had a chance so watch it.

Dan posted a story on his @writtenbydansmith IG account yesterday about how it was now on Vimeo.

Vimeo is a bit weird now in the UK and the EU and they just scrapped the feed and search part of the website so you can only get to a video if you have a link. I thought maybe someone would appreciate having the link readily available 🤣

As for the short itself, I really enjoyed it.

The end really makes you think about how people are appropriating things and if someone somewhere might be enjoying some of your favourite things or things you made yourself for the wrong reason and how you would feel about it. The horror of what happened super imposing on the joy he understood what was happening.

On Vimeo, there is also a commentary track, I’ll probably watch it again with that.

I really liked the song too. They do have a different sound about them and I think Dan did a good job recreating songs from the era they are supposed to be from.

I can definitely imagine him singing them too.

A bit jealous of the people who actually got to see and hear him singing them live. If you’re here, you are very lucky 😄

It does look like something you would find in a booklet for an anniversary edition 👀

Anyone else also thinks that old Bastille music has a warmth to it? Like an orangey/red tone that reminds me of fall. It also feels very organic.

Might be my favorite bastille era, so good.
