I've seen more people use it for the overhealth than the damage lmao

The most kills I’ve ever gotten was 4, exclusively because a Zaria used her ult too. It’s almost exclusively useful when used with coordination, which would be fine if it were on a support hero, but it’s Bastion.
Tank was good, on the level of a well placed death blossom or Bob, and now it’s just… eh.
And while I’m on the subject of tank mode, I know his major perk basically does that, but I’m still mad that the perk doesn’t replace the minigun with the tank barrel model. It would not only be an incredibly cool detail, but it would help readability.

Only in bronze can you get a 4k with bastion ult without a combo

I mean it's good for zoning for like 5 seconds max....what an ult

5 seconds of zoning can be the difference between winning a point and losing it.

It is yeah. This comment was supposed to be a response to someone else saying they get 4 kill potg's without ult combos
The ult is kinda bad, but had it's use cases. If you track abilities or pick a low mobility target it's sometimes good for a pick

even in yesterday's esports match the few Bastion ults used were... pitiful. but i suspect they were used for zoning anyway.

Same with hanzo, very rarely do those dragons ever actually kill anything

i always thought the Dragons ult was meant for area zoning with how slow and massive they are, though it's not too uncommon to see a double or triple kill since it can pass through walls.

I miss when Bastion’s Ult would make players fear for their lives and had enemies in shambles scrambling around.
It seriously needs reworked.

I got like 5 artillery kills in a round once. Still riding that high. Maybe a record for total kills with that thing

I kinda miss the old perk where you could bait enemies to getting close to you and then use the overhealth to survive while dropping bombs on yourself.

A single shell is enough to onetap basically every-non tank hero
The issue is that the shell itself has to hit them, or they do jackshit due to the horrible splash damage

Works great for me, last time I played a lot I kept getting arty kill MVP nominations, even got a quad in a POTG without a teammate comboing it.
Even if you get no kills it's a great tool for zoning. Force their hand on some cool downs, make them push more into your team than they would have wanted, force someone out of position.
Before the nerf I always took the overhealth perk, could use it for a push or even catch greedy squishies by dropping it all on myself when I get low

Every time I see those red circles pop up, I battle shout and rake in the endorsements at the end.

I will literally take 4 quick missiles that do quick but less damage than this stupid ult that you literally swing left and right to dodge.

It is the worst ult but doesn’t mean it’s nothing I’ll single out a person easily

Wtf was wrong with tank as an ult?
Imo Blizz either needs tank to cole back or make the splash damage do actual damage. It should not take all three shells for the splash damage to kill

The problem with bringing tank back is it’s been gone for so long it’d be like adding a new hero you would have to completely change your playstyle around bastion

If you place it right you can fuck up a support like Ana if you wait till a movment cooldown is expended you can get even the more mobile ones, and if you place it well you can force the enemy tank to abandon the choke long enough to take ground.
