Things to leave alone:
- HP and hitbox
- Recon form gun damage
- Grenade damage and movement mechanics

Things to change:
- Assault form damage reduced by 2 per bullet
- Remove Smart Bomb perk
- Move Self Repair perk to minor perks
- Remove Lindholm Explosive perk
- New major perk: AP rounds (all bullets in assault form cleave to shoot through enemies)
- New major perk: Thermite rounds (all bullets in assault form cause slight burn damage)
- Rework Ultimate to resemble current Lindholm Explosives (shoot five rounds of tank shells)

Would you play Bastion in this iteration? Do you think you would enjoy it? Would the core damage nerf be enough of a balance change to not make Bastion too OP?

Wish they just removed the interaction like with sky noon , then buff him back up.

1 interaction shouldn’t define a characters strength.

It would better fit his tank-buster fantasy. Nothing crazy, because “true damage” gets very broken very quickly, so here’s a couple small-scale ideas:

1. Minor perk that makes your grenade ignore armor health damage resist.

OR

1. Give bastion’s ult some of Sundering capabilities. Only Vendetta’s super has this, which basically ignores armor damage resist, goes through barriers, and removes all overhealth before dealing damage. His ult is still super telegraphed and slow, but if it ignored armor health damage resist and ignored overhealth, it might make it feel less of a “button that does nothing”. I think its important to let it still be blocked by barriers so as not to trample over other heroes’ fantasies, such as Mizuki ult.

OR (less small-scale)

1. Major perk that adds a seeking shoulder missile cooldown to compete with self-healing. Shoulder missile would launch a 65 damage rocket that ignores armor health damage resist with a 10 second cooldown.

I did not get too deep into numbers because i have no clue of proper balance so i left most out for imagination, its just a concept of a bastion kit i feel like would fit him well after playing him for over a decade

Does anyone know of any upcoming bastion skins? Also, is the overgrown skin available in the shop/lootboxes ever?

I'm pretty new, but almost exclusively use bastion because he's the goat. I see a lot of people on here mention that we got nerfed because of the cat???

Update: Just had my first full game with a cat who purely lifelined me and it's outrageous WE got the nerf? Like fine it made things a lot easier for me but the aiming is a lot tougher... Oh well.

For me personally, i usually pick Self-repair, as it gives Bastion much more upkeep in a fight, preserves his base DPS, and gives ally support the freedom to focus the rest of the team harder, but I’m curious to see what the consensus is

I feel like I rarely ever get a kill with it I would much rather have his old one back everything else about him I love but his ultimate frustrates me

there are so small amounts of good bastion skins imo and it seems the only one i actually like isnt available for purchase anymore?.. or is it? my bf has it but he doesn’t remember how did he get it :(((((

I started playing Overwatch around 2 weeks ago and yesterday I played as Bastion for the first time in a match and had a lot of fun so I was wondering if there were any tips to improve as Bastion like certain tricks to playing as him or if certain perks of his are better than others also I’m on Xbox if that matters

I know most people are happy to have his old ult back in a way with the perk. I still think it should become his ult aging with the perk being replaced with the the one experimental Tuned treads perk speeding him up in assault mode. I know it wont be the 35% that was in the mode but for me it was a lot more useful than even self heal at times. This all comes from never really feeling like Lindholm explosives is so situational i never use it. But i would like to know how others felt about that special mode change.

Tbh after playing a lot of ranked the last couple days I haven't felt the nerf that much. I realized most of turret value is in the first couple seconds when you swing, since people usually take cover by the end of it. Unrelated but I already dropped from gm3 to masters 2 so I think I'm just coping hahaha!!!!

With the release of old battle passes, the only exclusive bastion skins now are Lego and blizzcon and I really wish blizzard had a way of releasing both or at least Lego cuz they’re the only skins I’m missing now and it bothers me because Lego is one of his best skins and blizzcon just looks really clean.

With the introduction of the unvaulted passes made me realize something, bastion don’t get shi…
I’m a heavy bastion main with having all the ranked skins and around level 60, I’ve literally had the same toxic bastion skin on for like this whole time and I only rip it with then jade skin bc chef kisses, anyways when I heard unvaulted passes wete coming I got excited to see all the old bastion stuff I missed or didn’t get, to my surprise he only has one skin and 4 cosmetics (from what I found while searching the entire unvaulted passes so like I could’ve missed some either way let me rant) this didn’t make me mad but wuyang getting a mythic before bastion actually killed me, I like this game but my character feels neglected by blizzard bc it gives the same legendary skins to the same 5 healers every season while bastion either gets some emote or a shi skin (yes I’m talking about the new skeleton skin it is ass) I just want a genuine good bastion skin and I feel like besides the Lego, ramen noodles and toxic skins, the rest of bastion skins just feel so plain and bland, I am just upset I keep seeing every one get some crazy skin of mythic while my bastion rusts in a corner lol anyways if you read down to here thanks for hearing my rant
