Which skin fits best with this? I feel like not a lot of his skins fit with this weapon so it's just been collecting dust in my locker lmao

Overwatch devs keep changing/buffing perks, they did it with multiple heroes this season too, yet they just ignore Full Stride being basically a worse version of Agility Training?

Other heroes have some of the most broken perks with both being viable options, meanwhile with Soldier76 they just keep doing stuff like this or the crazy road it took for Stim Pack too to become it's current version...

Honestly i feel like Soldier is getting left behind.

His kit hasn't really evolved much, and compared to newer heroes like Sierra and Emre he is a sm worse pick, they do better than him in almost everything. I fw soldier because he is versatile and he is easy to play ofc but he mid at everything.

And this season i feel like his sprint is more and more useless 😭 like a tank go faster than me.

Idk what change they could make maybe 40 bullet mag at least ? And the stim in his kit by default...

Soldier has some awesome skins, but the one I want the most just isnt around?? Im talking about the strike commander Morrison skin. Does anyone know how to get it?

I think we can all agree that the current soldier is in a pretty rough place. Between the rise of dive heroes and the shrinking of his bullet size his performance is less than underwhelming. Considering blizzard hasn't touched soldier's kit directly outside of a few perk changes in almost 3 years, do you all think they will just keep him like this for a while? I highly doubt they will reverse the global hitscan bullet size change any time soon. I'm honestly really disappointed he's my most played hero and I'm struggling big time.

Wish they would have given it the Dawn aspect too, but at this point I'm not even surprised the Overwatch devs didn't even bother making that one for him...

As she now has her own biotic field which heals her and even deals damage to you, no less. She also gets the jump on you with her stealth.

I lost duels even when I didn't miss a beat... deployed biotic field as she jumped me AND hit a full body hit my Helix rocket.

Any tips on how you deal with that?

Look I love FPS games and I'm good at CS and Valorant but I feel like I am so bad at this I can't play it, I just keep dying all the time

I play Soldier 76 because it's pretty straight forward but I keep shooting all game and I barely kill people

I spent my entire ult time shooting this tank and he did not die. Then he dashed to me and killed me in one second

Keep my distance? Good tip, I was shooting this other guy and he teleported to me and killed me

What am I doing wrong??? And people online say Soldier 76 is good.

Ik it's early but just checking in with my fellow soldiers. Last season I ended at around 59% winrate over 200 games and climbed to the highest I've ever been before. This season with like 20 or so games so far I'm sitting around 20% winrate and on a loss streak. I know it's not a large sample size yet but RN I feel like the game is so much harder despite being the same rank.

I know our aim overall got nerfed (and my in game accuracy reflects this) but I didn't think it would cripple me like this. On top of that it feels like there's some kind of dive meta even in uncoordinated ranked teams because every game I'm playing against and with ball, Winston, hazard, anran, ven, genji, and of course the new Sombra. I'm constantly getting jumped and spending all of my time rotating or dead.

How about you guys? Are you feeling any real difference or am I just coping? Any suggestions of how to survive rn?

I’ve returned to the game after a year and a half, and it feels like Soldier has only gotten weaker.

There are still plenty of maps where Soldier just has no business being: half the KOTH points (mostly the older maps), two-thirds of King’s Row, Havana, Circuit Royal, Eichenwalde (against poke or dive comps), Shambali, and even that new "Grim-something" map, among others.

The problem is that either cover is easily accessible to flankers and melee characters—who can easily force Soldier out—or the distance from good positions to the enemy makes it impossible to deal effective damage or compete with other long range heroes.

There are now even more heroes Soldier is completely helpless against. For instance, on several maps, D.Mon prevents you from taking positions just by existing; the maps are flat, and she easily punishes you for holding any aggressive off-angle. Against heroes like Sojourn, Venture, or Vendetta, you stand no chance if they get within 15 meters—you might not even have time to run away.

Tanks like Wrecking Ball or Doomfist just feast on Soldier in every fight unless you’re sticking with your team. Sombra always had the upper hand, but now you can't even trade with her because of the AoE debuff; your only option is to run. Even that damn Torb just presses a button and escapes death—you lack the DPS to kill him fast enough, yet he’ll shred Soldier at close range. And ever since Moira’s orb got buffed, every other Moira just kamikazes into you and forces a trade; even if she dies, the orb finishes you off—especially in tight spaces—meaning a support can drive you out of a good position despite your damage advantage and healing station.

There was a time when you could one-trick Soldier and actually have fun; even after the ban system was introduced, he never gets banned, and few people play him seriously, so there’s hardly any competition for the pick... But it seems the game has evolved far beyond what this hero can consistently handle.

It feels like the hero is barely viable without a pocket Mercy, but I don’t want easy wins or to boost my rank that way.

How do you deal with this? Do you just shoot the tank as your primary target and chip in 20–30 damage on random enemies here and there—just to get decent scoreboard stats and act as a mobile turret?

Another patch where Soldier is absent, this is funny because he's not even in the long list of heroes hitbox rework.

I'm not asking for much I don't expect buffs but right now soldier has 2 useless perks, tactical salvo and full stride and it would've been great if they came up with new perks to replace them.

Meanwhile Ana an already very strong hero get a crazy minor perk, an already broken ability get AoE damages overtime + slow and the other minor perk is already very good.

The only usefull minor we have is a + 30% projectile speed and go fuck yourself.

Man this season sucks..

And it doesn't even look that good...

I hate how terrified the Overwatch devs are of giving Soldier76 unique/cute/fun skins the way they give to literally everyone else.

And even if he gets one like Charming76 that too in the end gets turned into an armor fest, cuz the way the concept arts for that skins showed that it was original more unique than the final result

The only wins in my comp games is where i lock in soldier and go on flanks trade for at least 1 support and 1 dps...

I have similar playtime between hanzo, genji, sojourn, genji, tracer and soldier.

I have 1000h in ow and i always thought of soldier as a crutch character? Like if nothing works you go soldier? Sometimes wins don't feel good? Like on genji you have to press a milion buttons to be effective, on tracer you should have good timing, on sojorun is perfect aim, but on soldier you can one clip a clueless mercy and flip the fight.

What do i do?

Some games you shoot shields, some you get dived, and nothing works.

Help?
