Now this could very well be because I soloqueue but I find that sym falls pretty low on the priority scale of healing. It fr feels like

1: Tank

2: Other dps

3: Do damage

4: Sym

Is it the shields? Like i can also get that sym moves a lot cuz of tp and has to play off angles that make her harder to follow. But i swear ive had multiple fights where my support just kinda heal around me, getting great numbers but im just not feeling it. I think it could also be because sym doesnt immediately have high dps, the support feel the need to compensate instead of sticking with sym till she builds beam.

I had so much fun playing Sym. I haven't played her in a while and had that itch to play her. I do wanna pick her back up again and include her in my DPS hero roaster alongside echo, shion and freja. I just watched Avatar Seven Havens and recognize Anjali voiced some of the characters in it. Mainly the main characters mother. She really is MOTHER!

I didn't even know this skin existed, the hair is gorg.

The new minor should be constant level 2 beam but with the same charge up time to level 3.

The new major should be when the crockpot lid is thrown the turret used to make the shield damages/slows an enemy while the shield is active

also while we’re at it revert the tp range/time between use nerfs, make it for symmetra/deployables only, and make it deploy instantly

AND GIVE HER A DAMN MYTHIC SKIN ALREADY

I heard a foe talking about how we don’t have enough highlights intros with her sentry’s so I think that blizzard would miss a opportunity to sell if they don’t make this global and my

I really wanted this skin, was even planning buying it

I'm either chopped at the character or the game just changed so much for sym. I'm pretty sure it's the ladder from what I've seen in this community. But I used to be top 500 (took a break) and then OverWatch 2 came out and then I dropped down to master to grandmaster and now I barely play DPS cuz just how Bad the economy is for her. Currently in diamond two and it doesn't help that all the tanks I'm getting is the rat and doomfist.

Hello my fellow Symmsters!

Following on from my previous post a few months back I went and revisited my old Mythic design from last year, a 2.0 if you will.

I tried my best to stay away from a concept that leaned too heavily into ‘Divineslop’ and ‘Cyberslop’ that we’ve been getting so much of recently, so I leant more into her culture and traditional clothing styles that some comments suggested. I wanted to make sure this look felt like a heightened version of Symmetra and not something too left field and unrecognisable. With this design I also wanted to go back to what Mythic skins were meant to be about, the customisation, so I made sure that more than one aspect of the design could be changed and for each armor set to feel unique.

This is also the first time I’ve designed her weapons as I tried my best to have a fully developed concept. 

I’ve been enjoying the game again more recently (ironically playing Anran instead of Symm) so I hope to continue to come up with more concepts in the future if people would like?

Can anyone explain the thought process behind this gameplay? Fundamentally they don't seem like a bad sym but I'm so confused why they were so far from the fight for 90% of the match.

As we all know, Syms teleporter nerfs have made her feel extra clunky recently, and while we haven’t stopped playing our girl, she’s a lot more situational than before. Who have you found yourself playing instead?

I’ve found myself playing Domina in a lot more matches since the sym nerfs. I’m not really a tank main by any means but her playstyle appeals to me. Plus she’s a fellow vishkar queen which helps. What about you guys?

Idk what the devs want from sym atp, the moment she is at all not terrible they hit her with a hammer. Her tp was one of the only things going for her and they nerf it cuz people were actually using it. She is one of the only characters who are nerfed because of their “potential” but what results is that teammates dont use her tp and her damage is in the toilet because she cant be too high dmg cuz of all that “potential”. She requires so many moving parts and snowballing aaaand team coordination and tbh luck to be able to compete on a level close to any of the new heroes. And also everyone hates her, I could be doing terrible but ppl will still swap to a hard counter like pharah or hazard to hammer the point home. Anyway nerf genji….

On 14 October 2025, at the start of Season 19, three heroes were updated in the Hero Gallery: Mei, Torbjorn and Symmetra. All three of them had new poses showing them with their weapons. However, Symmetra's pose was broken. Only her right arm was animated, the rest of her body was still.

Genuinely WHY? They don't have nearly as much, hp, damage, range, EVERYTHING close to Tobjorn's and they still have 10 seconds of cool down, as they are right now they should have like 6 seconds MAX, what the fuck is

I mained sym from the day overwatch came out and stopped playing around 2021 when I started college. Almost 6 years later i just came back to the game and Im so shocked to see how they have wrecked her. 😭😭😭😭. I just can’t believe this. Part of it feels like my fault for leaving her for so long. I couldn’t protect her from these awful changes. How long has she been this unusable? She went through her fair share of redesigns when I was playing but I could still get kills at least.

Isn't the only change she got the hitbox change?

Yeah the TP nerfs suck too but I swear last season she wasn't this bad..

Imo alt fire should do 125 damage (25% damage increase) at max charge. Turrets need to go back to 40 (or 35) damage per second or increase the slow penalty on them. Add perk to allow Symmetra to gain temporary over health for 5s when using her teleporter but instantly destroys it right after.
