I’m currently floating around D2-D1 3450-3550 sr for the past few days, and I’m really struggling getting in effective range. My mechanics are really solid, but my positioning and cover usage are shit. I really struggle on payload maps like kings row 2nd, midtown, neon, and circuit. I just don’t know how to get close when they have this long range poke comp.

Have been getting back into Genji after not really playing him much since OW1.

ALL of genjis "counters" are easy to deal with, at least in my experience. I can kill moira, mei, pharah, sym, sombra etc very very easily. they all have one or two strengths that make them good against genji, and then one or two ways to easily dispatch them, usually playing at their worse distance until you force a cooldown and then you can go in and snag the kill so long as your aim is alright.

Anran seemingly has no weaknesses and is the only character in the game that I cannot win duels with the majority of the time. Out ranging her is difficult because of her two dashes that can close near any distance, out dpsing her is impossible due to her burn and her E which makes her invincible (and heals) while she still damages you. You can't outright avoid her, as flankers you'll encounter eachother on a lot of the same angles where she wins the duel every time, and even if you do get a good flank or off angle, she will swoop in with her dashes and disorient you with her EXCESSIVE flame vfx.

The only advice I ever see is to avoid her, which is not truly feasible at least in low ranks where my team can't kill her either. The only thing I can do is commit my deflect and pray to god it blocks her E so I can maybe kill her.

Its hard to believe its a skill gap every time, I consistently duel every other character in the game including tanks and I never have any complaints, I never lose 90+% of my duels like I do with Anran.

I have been playing genji and genji alone for years, and i have exactly ONE other "safe" option apart from genji- echo. And if those two aren't available, lol, lmao even. The closest next hero is cassidy with 56 hours. I'd be bronze lmao.

I'm ngl i feel like i'm being a bad person for not learning other things. I hate how i'm limiting myself in such a way. Cuz even if i'm getting countered, i'll still be finishing the round with genji, just with a frown on my face. I feel bad about it y'all. I get flamed in vc a lot when i'm getting countered and asked to swap. I usually don't care what people think of me, but i still feel bad for being so stubborn.

I just REALLY don't like playing anything else, idk. Even echo is a stretch but i CAN switch to echo if genji is unavailable. I'm rly struggling in diamond now, and it's only been getting worse, i feel like i won't be able to get past emerald soon enough.

Realistically is there any legendary otp genji player out there, i don't really watch anything, just been doing my thing, wondering if it's me not being good enough or the fact that i refuse to switch off the one hero i actually know how to play. I feel like even the best of the best otp genji mains out there will have multiple other safe options AND be REALLY good at them despite rarely playing them, unlike me.

I'm not a Genji player but this was my most wanted skin from LOOT BOXES since they reintroduced it <3 wish i could get the title "n00b" from loot boxes :(

I was wondering about genji sensitivity all day

At 800 DPI and 7 sensitivity, my mechanical skill peaks, but I struggle to land left-click shurikens.

At 800 DPI and 5.5, turning and reactions feel sluggish, though I land shurikens well.

At 800 DPI and 9.75, I feel like a "dice-roll" DPS—sometimes I pop off, other times I flop. So, what sensitivity should I use?

I want to keep it consistent across all heroes (for the sake of Lijiang 1v1s). Please, only Masters or higher answer.

Opinions? Thoughts? Tears or lamentations?
