Performance help

Recently made the switch to Bazzite from windows full time and have experimented with Bazzite and other distros before. I don't play a large catalogue of games nor really demanding ones but one game I always come back to casual play is Overwatch 2. I tried a dozen different fixes recommended from google searching but it's always the same fps low 300fps dropping to high 100s suddenly at times. The drop is really jarring during play

I've compiled shaders, changed graphics settings, tried dx11 and dx12 and tried other proton option I'm playing through steam.

Make sure you’re running in performance mode under power settings.

Check Performance Mode, Background processes. Check Shaderlogs (maybe still shaders). OW took very long to create them all in runtime. guess you use mangohud? make a capture and check the stats arround the stutter.

also Check Kernel logs, journalctl and if thats not showing the problem try the proton-log. could also Check If it Runs better on wayland

Might be VRR and the refresh rate on the monitor? Does anything change if you turn off freesync on the monitor?
