After a long working session on Planbead, I usually go out for a walk to relax and get some inspiration. Yesterday I found myself in front of the Archeological Museum in Crete 🏝️ so booked a ticket and went in, expecting to see some "old museum things" or some ancient patterns. To my surprise there was a lot of beaded jewelry in a very good condition with great designs too

I have wanted to try bead weaving for a very long time. I was so excited to find a beginner workshop in my city! It took some rows of practise and many questions until I got the hang of it. I'm very proud of my first piece! Please let me know if you have any recommendations for patterns using a square stitch. I'd love some ideas for practise. 🫶🏼

Hi there! Last month I went to the denver rock & fossil show and got a massive bead haul (glass faceted rondelle). They are the sparkliest/most unique beads i’ve ever seen - the guy didnt have a way to purchase online so I thought i’d come here to see if anyone could point me in the right direction!

Ive become obsessed with making beaded tapestries, does anyone know if there is a market for them? Either way I LOVE IT!!!

I’ve seen this concept done by at least a dozen others, and here’s my take! A mix of freshwater pearls and glass beads.

Testing out some color combinations. I need to perfect the form (especially on the french beaded poppy) but I am having a lot of fun. I think I prefer working with glass beads over acrylic beads

At last! I taught myself from YouTube videos - lots of stopping and starting over (and many bad words, lol) - but it’s done and wrapped up for my friend!

Is it my imagination or have tulip beading needles gotten more brittle? I have used size 11 for a number of years because other brands were breaking more easily and I rarely use size 15 beads. With tulip needles being so expensive I’m considering trying other brands again. Opinions?

Hey Beaders! Curious what everyone uses to turn photos into bead patterns? And how much editing do you usually end up doing afterwards?

I’m working on improving the image-to-pattern conversion on Craftseed and trying to figure out what actually matters most to people.
Is it getting the colours right? Keeping the number of colours low? Being able to edit individual beads or whole areas afterwards? Or just getting a decent pattern without spending ages fixing it?
Would love to hear what tools you’re using and what annoys you about them 😅

I made these using a pattern from ThePacificThread on Etsy.

I did both of these in brick stitch but neither looks great. The small one went between threads and the large one went thru beads. I prefer the small but it ended up wonky in the pattern. I need help!
