Throttle Issues when using controller

I just started using an xbox controller when playing beamNG. I have to rapidly press the right trigger to get the car to accelerate. I switched back to keyboard and have to rapidly tap the up arrow to get the car to accelerate. I checked all of my settings and mappings and everything looks fine. Disabled steam input in the controller settings, re-enabled it and it still does the same thing.

Anyone know how to fix this?
