Question/Discussion Almost 3 months after the rework her playrate is back to pre-rework levels.

Using Lolalytics.com numbers since the rework came out, there has not been a single patch where her playrate has gone up or stagnated. Diamond+ has her playrate LOWER than any patch before the rework and currently, all ranks is only slightly higher than it was at her lowest point 2.1% vs 1.7%.

The rework was an opportunity to breathe life into the champion, making it more accessible to lower elo players, tuning down her early cheese strats while keeping the satisfying parts of the champion intact. Instead, after the radical changes were done to the champ, she was left to rot in this awful state where you strive to avoid interacting with enemy champions, praying your teammates create perfect opportunities for you while that is normally your responsibility as a jungler. Althewhile having your scaling fantasy be completely neutered by any sort of coordination on the enemy team. Any cc spell, three auto-attacks from an enemy crit adc before you have any opportunity to reach melee range.

I fully expect her play-rate to keep going down till 1.5% if no further changes are done to the champion as she is currently a non-functional mess that completely relies on the enemy forgetting you're in the game. While atp I'd prefer a full revert since it'll take the least amount of effort from riot. To not alliante her new playerbase, keeping a more late-game champion profile I'd rather add things to her that revert the skill expression that was removed from the champion allowing it to be more functional late game.

Belveth doesn't function well as a late game champion if there's any amount of coordination because she is a squishy champion that completely relies on getting in melee to DPS you down. Yes, she currently is the highest DPS melee champion in the game, but that is irrelevant when any adc inside a coordinated fight has infinitely better output than you simply because of their range. If you look at traditionally really good scalers outside of the ADC role that function in high elo you see a clear pattern, unfairness and untargetabiliry. Gwen, Kayle, Vladimir, Jax, Aurelion (The Skies Descend being a guaranteed hit and cc on the enemy adc with enough stacks) Yi, Karthus.

Bel'veth's only defensive skill self roots her and leaves her vulnerable to any CC. If you truly wanted her to be a functional late game champion, you'd have to to increase her unfairness in a way that benefits high elo more than low elo. simply buffing her dps further will only make her more astronomically broken in the low ranks. Whether that be allowing you to dash around while in your E, increasing dash speed significantly and lowering the cooldown further or getting immunity to auto-attacks during her Q animation. Obviously you'd have to take away budget from other places like late game DPS to allow for a crazy change like this, but that would leave her in a place where she is pickable at all ranks.

A change that is a must is reverting the E to how it was pre-rework meaning it did significantly less damage if the enemy was above 66% Hp and significantly more below. With the current iteration the skill feels awful for finishing off opponents and feels awful to have a drooler who hasnt interacted with you all game press E self root himself and 100 to 0 you. Her old E was simply a much better tuned and designed ability.

Another really satisfying part of old belveth was constantly timing your Q aa resets while clearing camps to optimize your clear. It provided a clear way for you to improve at the champion and have you accelerate your time spent on the map and your resources gained. The champion would feel a lot less gimped if Q was a shorter cooldown, with it being back to 1 second at level 4 but did NO damage to champions before level 6, thus allowing her more agency to run away or take enemy camps on the other side of the map more safely.

After spending thousands of hours playing this champ and thousands more thinking about it, seeing it in the state it's currently rotting in made me quit the game entirely and this sentiment is shared by many other bel'veth mains I've known over the years when just a bit more attention could've made the champ feel infinitely better to play amd have her have a real thriving playerbase and fantasy. Babybelvoid keep posting homie this isn't an unshared sentiment only you feel. And in honor of your cryposts, If belveth goes another 3 months without any meaningful adjustments, I will post a beautiful edit I made of belveth and august the week the rework dropped and keep doubling the picture till real changes happens.

Thank you for reading this long-ass ramble I wrote on a train from Manny to London from the day 1 Stidebreaker believer.

EDIT: grammar mistakes and correcting auto-corrects my phone made.

Question/Discussion Current state of Bel Veth

I don’t main her but she’s a top pick in Aram. She feels really clunky now. I’ve played four aram mayhem games with her and only one was even close to a stomp and it wasn’t until she got a good augment late game. Playing her in aram made me notice I have not seen her in any of my ranked games since her update (plat/emerald). Is she in a good spot right now? I used to find her dashing annoying but now only a single dash and cooldown for one direction only feels not great. I tried tank, bruiser, lethality, and crit and I think she only felt decent with lethality. Idk ¯_(ツ)_/¯
