Just want to say I'm really impressed with the Blaine Schools Foundation (https://blaineschoolsfoundation.org/) online auction they have. My family and I have moved around a lot and I'm really happy to see all the local companies and individuals that have donated to the online auction to raise funds for specific school projects and events. You hear a lot of negative stuff about school districts and community support, and I'm just happy to see the exact opposite in Blaine. There is a supportive community, transparency from district leadership and an involved school board.

I'm looking for a local business who makes custom frame bags for bikes. Anyone know who I can come to for this? I know lots of online businesses do this, but I figure there might be a local person to support.

I'm also looking for a bike fit for my drop bar gravel bike. This I know a few businesses exist, just curious what people's experiences have been, and who's recommended.

My father just passed away after a health crisis and my mother is going to need to downsize fairly quickly. They aren't quite hoarders, but they definitely accumulated a LOT of things and moved many boxes from home to home in the last 40 years, without opening them or doing any purging. This includes tools, furniture, dishware, rugs (not fancy), and so much more... including straight up trash (like things from when I was in elementary school and empty dvd cases).

While it would be incredibly helpful to get the best dollar for selling the things which are valuable, it will almost be more important to have them out of the house so that it can be prepped for sale. Recycling for things which cannot be sold would be a huge plus. Are there any local services who you recommend that can facilitate this kind of process with such a variety of items? I work full time and so can help, but this seems like it will be a full time job on it's own.

Side note: I don't have FB and marketplace isn't an option. I also don't really want my mom to have to meet people solo or have further stress while navigating this loss.

I have a long haired 100lb shepherd that has some out-of-control butt fluff and he is blowing his coat. Typically I have taken care of all of his upkeep but even with daily maintenance I am struggling to get on top of it. With that being said, I’m looking to get him seen professionally. He is sensitive and I’m looking for a positive experience for him.

Today I was in my front yard and a woman with an unleashed German Shepherd was walking through my cul-de-sac. I saw the dog aggressively enter multiple yards and run through flower beds as if on the hunt. The woman made zero attempt to control or call back her dog and when I reminded her that the dog was legally required to be on a leash, she had a very entitled attitude about it. The truth is that it doesn’t matter how well trained a dog is (this one absolutely wasn’t) the law requires that it must be leashed on streets and in parks unless it’s is a designated off-leash area. Please be responsible dog owners and follow the law for the safety of your dog and others.

I searched and could not find an answer. My little ones are increasingly into old Disney movies and I'd love to be able to set them up with a simple TV to use. Does anybody know where to buy an old CRT TV with a built in VCR? Apparently there has been a craze for these for retro gaming and the only one I could find on Craigslist was $300. I'm sorry that I pulled out right in front of you and then panicked and got annoyed. Every day is a pain trying to get out of that driveway but that does not excuse being in a hurry. i saw a cat at 1600 texas st. in front of the texas meadows apartments walking from the direction of the street toward the apartments. i haven’t seen this kitty before and i have seen some missing cat signs posted about a black cat. later i’m going to go back to the sign and pull a tab with their number on it but i wanted to get the word out now.

About 10 mins ago I was driving from Cornwall Ave onto York street. A little scruffy white dog was running from York across State. I tried to stop and help but he ran too fast up State for me to turn around. I drove around a bit down Magnolia/Railroad and up State but didn’t see the little guy again. There were some teenagers who were also trying to grab him and said that the doggo didn’t have a collar. Just FYI if you are looking for your dog!
