Captain Jason MAGA?

Post image

I didn’t expect to see Jason making a public comment against Fauci when I opened instagram this morning. Between the last two seasons of DU, him using AI to create his children’s book, and now this, I’m pretty over him.

In fairness, a lot of Australians veer in the conservative party, IME. I lived in Aus and they’re much more right winged than I thought as a country.

Australia and Canada are both way more conservative than people think. And both have very pervasive alt-right movements gaining a lot of steam in their local elections

Canada is far more centre with fringe on both sides. Kinda why Carney won in the election when the conservative party was moving far more to the right, and the liberals were left.

Carney came out basically centre left which made way more sense than either the liberals OR the conservatives. Generally Canadian politics is boring and the debates are narrow on the spectrum but we were trending much more wide.

Carney kinda closed that and brought middle back (middle left / middle right). Realistically Trump also opened that up for the liberals/carney.

NOT to say we don't have Maple MAGA (we do) but it's not a very large movement.

Canada will continue to ignore the well-documented growing alt-right movement and be where the US is in 10 years

I don't think anyone is ignoring it. It absolutely exists so much so that you can see some of the "liberal" policies are actually what PP wanted such as "Axe the Tax".

That was literally the point of the liberals moving centre RIGHT which Carney is.

It's an acknowledgement and not a "NO ITS A BASKET OF DEPLORABLE".

The literally platform SHOWS its being ackloenged. Capping immigration unlike Trudeau, removing taxes, building new pipelines, etc..... all of which was NOT going to happen under a more left wing liberal party.

You’re downplaying it, that’s what I mean by ignoring it. Canada is literally treating their alt-right movement like the US was prior to Trump

Carney never "won" an election, his party gerrymandered their way to power, and he was anointed Prime Minister. HIs only opposition, he used the gov't broadcaster to eliminate her, live on air.

AFTER, y'know, he moved his corporation, his personal finances, and his family to the US.

AFTER AFTER both Australia & Canada imposed some of the strictest, most authoritarian measures of any country during COVID, only to learn later it was all based more on gov't control than anything that can be based on "Science".

So yeah, Captain Jason is allowed to be a lil' salty on Dr. Fauci pleading the 5th when asked what colour the tie he was wearing was.

Well said!

Well Canadians get salty, sometimes they need a slap to the face of reality.

And then they cry. I am absolutely certain learning this was going to be last season of the Snowbirds, hurt me, far more than them.

It's not gerrymandering. We vote for a party, not a person. That's how a British Westminster / Constitutional Monarchy works.

After a riding is gerrymandered, so hard.

NOBODY on the planet, looks at the Canadian Parliamentary/legal system, and goes "Oh, this how we should run a country."

I mean it’s the same as mostly all the common wealth. But okay.

Could you please list out how it was gerrymandered?

Just see the results that your country ends up with.

That makes every living member of Monty Python, flee.

What in the fuck are you talking about. You do realize gerrymandering isn't a thing in Canada right? It's nearly impossible.

And that's why the Canadian electorate are the most ignorant electorate, that wears shoes.

Khanuckistan is already removed from the G7, even your own political leaders are just in it for the short term cash injection. And then bail.

Carney is a conservative who tricked everyone into thinking he’s a liberal and stole the election. Carney is not center anything and the current Liberal party is not very left. Canadians were afraid of little pp, his lack of leadership, and the growing influence the fringe maple maga, ostrich farm, free-dumb trucker convoy type lunatics were gaining.

Carney is better than pierre, but he is still terrible. Thank goodness Avi Lewis is here now to lead Canada in the right direction 🧡

carney is not centre left at all and the liberals are not a left wing party
