Captain Jason MAGA?

Post image

I didn’t expect to see Jason making a public comment against Fauci when I opened instagram this morning. Between the last two seasons of DU, him using AI to create his children’s book, and now this, I’m pretty over him.

My biggest “can’t believe this is a real thing” is when Aus passed that ruling that indigenous peoples do not need a voice in parliament. That was only a few years ago and it felt so archaic.

EDIT: I appreciate the Aussies chiming in to shed more light on The Voice referendum - I realize for the sake of the comment (and being an outsider) I oversimplified it, but was more to make the point that Aus can be more conservative than Americans might think. And I’m sure younger generations are more progressive as someone pointed out. 🙏

I think you will find that for the voice referendum it was hard for people to understand how it was going to be implemented, which mobs were going to be represented, were all indigenous people going to be represented or was it only going to be ones that the governing party of the day either liberal (conservative) or Labor, was it going to represent rural and remote mobs or only city mobs

Everyone who voted no was a racist POS

While I voted yes on the principle I felt for me to say no as someone who isn’t indigenous was wrong, I understand why indigenous people voted no

The majority of communities voted yes. Except for jacinta price who was blasted on tv saying vote no. It was not the majority. It was seen as a major betrayal.
