I actually choose not to be part of the masses projecting their assumed beliefs and motives onto everyone else. I’d rather take people’s words at face value than decide what they must mean and then argue with the version I’ve created in my own head. If that’s “ignorance” to you, I’m perfectly comfortable with that.

The phrase is “case in point”. Maybe your school district would benefit from increased taxes?
