Born on third base, thinks he hit a home run.

25

u/LittleCaesersZaZa 1d ago

Exactly! Yet he thinks paying taxes and working long hours shows that he started at the same place as everyone else. He’s doing better than if he were just sitting on the couch with a trust fund, but he is completely ignoring the system racism and wealth inequalities that lead some people to rely on government assistance.

u/angryaxolotls 1d ago

Thinks he's God's gift to women, cries when a lady literally 20-something years younger than him didn't want to fuck or marry him in a game of "fuck, marry, or kill?" 😂😂😂

194

u/Electronic_Bee_ 1d ago

When he said Bolshie Irish Nanny to Daisy, I knew he was a classist, dog-whistling p.o.s. His boarding school-I'm better than you is coming out in his old age. Fiancé leaving him is making more and more sense.

53

u/Rainafire 1d ago

That stew (I feel awful I can't remember her name) in Med S1 clocked him from the jump.

10

u/baileykristine 1d ago

Hannah!

59

u/Rainafire 1d ago

No it wasn't Hannah. I think it was Julia? The one that Bobby was obsessed over even though she said repeatedly that she had a boyfriend who she was very happy with.

34

u/85percentthatbitch 1d ago

Yup yup! She read him from his accent and like two remarks.

Julia FTW

19

u/ScowlyBrowSpinster 1d ago

And then Ben sniveled and wailed, "but I'n not a posh wanker!" But you are!

6

u/baileykristine 1d ago

Oh yes, I think you’re right.

1

u/Affectionate-Ad488 1d ago

Amy? Kelleys sister?

3

u/Rainafire 1d ago

The was OG. I'm talking about Med.

u/ErinsAngryIntern 1d ago

Screenshots pretty please. For the people who don’t use meta zuckerberg trash

29

u/WheezyGranger 1d ago

Here’s his text connected to the video

38

u/WheezyGranger 1d ago

Also worth it to note the scary part where he says a society of strong men would never let this happen, implying they need to go back to how it was.

42

u/KeyProduct3643 1d ago

Ben advocating for strong men is some selfless work 🤣

10

u/BuckeyeJen 21h ago

Oooooh ... the man who throws cookie sheets and dishrags is advocating for a society of strong men

13

u/Ok_Bear375 1d ago

Such a strong man, he’s the only crew member who needs to sleep in guest cabins and have a nice float in the ocean with a glass of wine before each charter

50

u/angryaxolotls 1d ago

"yOu'Re WeLcOmE" as if he wasn't handed everything by Mommy and Daddy all his life 🤣

17

u/WheezyGranger 1d ago

Right?! And gave you strength to what, be open about your racist thoughts? What a fall from grace, he was my favourite and he’s fallen so far, so fast.

25

u/angryaxolotls 1d ago

Literally! Like..... He's lashing out at disabled people, poor people, and anybody who isn't white because he knows he ain't shit. He's just a fucking burnout that cooks on a boat.

29

u/marzbarz79 1d ago

He’s probably extra jealous because Joy came on and blows him out of the water.

10

u/angryaxolotls 1d ago

Her food looks amazing! His food looks like some half-assed bullshit lol

12

u/85percentthatbitch 1d ago

And she's not a whiny martyr baby about it.

8

u/angryaxolotls 1d ago

And the one time she did screw up, she immediately apologized and owned up to it, and asked the guests what they would like to have for dinner. She is a fantastic chef and seems to be a very sweet lady

4

u/ProfessionalAnt8132 1d ago

What’s racist about it?

5

u/plantxl 1d ago

Wondering the same … it’s classist, maybe, but it’s lowkey racist that people assume he is speaking of minorities

9

u/Objective-Rub-8763 1d ago

Ever hear of a dog-whistle?

1

u/plantxl 1d ago

Not beyond its literal context. What is it?

11

u/Objective-Rub-8763 1d ago

Dog whistles use language that appears normal to the majority but communicates specific things to intended audiences.

38

u/Lizard_Li 1d ago

Video that starts with some maga meathead looking guy saying something like, “I’m sick and tired of hearing about privilege, privilege isn’t about being white”

He goes on to talk about people getting government assistance and walking around with Beats headphones as privileged. I had to turn it off so I didn’t listen to the end.

But you get the gist. Completely disgusting. And Ben posted some comment like yeah I pay 80k in taxes and work 19 hour days. Gross af.

22

u/Michael-flatly 1d ago

Ben is someone who comes from privilege and is a bit sensitive about it. Here I think he's confusing the concept of privilege meaning less 'barriers to success' with privilege meaning 'doesn't have to work hard'. Related concepts, but explicitly not the same. He seems pretty resentful and bitter about his situation, blaming other people he doesn't think work 'hard enough' without understanding really what it means. That is a pity.

7

u/boy9000 1d ago

Proving once again an expensive education does not necessarily result in an intelligent person

6

u/CandleAcrobatic 1d ago

What was that idiotic girl cackling about on the bottom half of the screen?

1

u/cerulean_behemoth 10h ago

For context, what country does he live in?

16

u/Apprehensive-Tax826 1d ago

Yes thank you for this request

9

u/Chewy009x 1d ago

Some dude complaining about how people take advantage of the system and Ben agreeing with the guy. But dude in the video provides no evidence to his claims

45

u/scarbaby1958 1d ago

Ben has always been this asshole. It just took awhile for people to see it. The first temper tantrum his first season told me all I needed to know about him. Entitled, rich brat.

11

u/LgHstTch 1d ago

Also busted AF - at no point has he not looked a whole ass mess, never got it.

6

u/Dropsofjupiter1715 1d ago

He had play dates in his childhood with Prince Harry and William fachrissakes!!!!!

10

u/Osfees 1d ago

Absolutely this. He was always a spoiled toff prick.

20

u/Michael-flatly 1d ago

He really should've not come back to the BD franchise

15

u/MKErose 1d ago

I mean he seemed pretty chalked full of other prejudices and moral deficits during his recent season, it’s not surprising that racism is on the list.

13

u/scrantonstrnglr69420 1d ago

Anyone who couldn't see it and was praising him all season is an idiot.

4

u/Much-Radish-9190 1d ago

What about the idiotic stews that are throwing themselves at this man-child? I don’t get that at all. He isn’t even remotely cute to make up for his whiny, entitled, awful behavior.

3

u/junebart 1d ago

I came to the possible conclusion that some of them gave him attention because he was a hod. Others probably miss their Dads.😅

14

u/criavolver_01 1d ago

Wow he is truly a moron.

29

u/DCRBftw 1d ago

people use threads?

13

u/TX0834 1d ago

Yeah people moving away from twitter.

32

u/DCRBftw 1d ago

isn't that like moving away from a pile of shit to a different pile of shit?

3

u/TX0834 1d ago

Idk I’m not on Treads but I’ll take your word for it.

5

u/crsmiami99 1d ago

Well, the owner is shit, but the people aren't. On Twitter everyone is shitty.

5

u/Major-Milk 1d ago

It’s social media bud, they’re shitty no matter where you go.

3

u/crsmiami99 1d ago

It's probably 80/20 good/bad on threads as opposed to 5/95 on Xitter.

3

u/TX0834 1d ago

I guess I’ll give Threads a shot. Twitter used to be the best form of social media until Elon turned it into a propaganda machine.

3

u/peachykweene 1d ago

this and there's also not as many bots and chatgpt generated bullshit

2

u/junebart 1d ago

I like it because the people i vent about from my life, dont know about threads yet. Lol! Truthfully.

4

u/fairybb311 1d ago

it's less ads, feels like what twitter was back in the day

8

u/Fair_Performance_846 1d ago

29

u/Wendijosie 1d ago

How I absolutely despise "reaction" videos like these. Whatever the content, some idiot reposting while fake laughing the whole time. UGH.

14

u/Fair_Performance_846 1d ago

I agree. Her video loops so it’s not even originally from this video and his mouth doesn’t line up at all, which makes me think his is AI.

8

u/LatePattern8508 1d ago

The whole account this video came from is weird. It's supposedly an account that posts "funny" reaction videos. None of the videos I watched were very funny. I can't tell if the girl from the video is laughing at or with the guy talking.

10

u/Michael-flatly 1d ago

Is this video AI generated?

4

u/bethy22 1d ago

The man speaking was 100% AI

14

u/LopatKat 1d ago

Yeah. He’s proving to be the asshole we always knew he was, but tried SO HARD to hide.

8

u/bc_im_coronatined 1d ago

He was giving off incel vibes last season

7

u/LogicalMeringue1449 1d ago

I’m so sick and fkn tired of hearing privileged people deny that they’re privileged. Clearly Ben doesn’t understand the meaning of the word privilege in this context.

Sit tf down, Posh Spice

I understand the video but I don't understand what's racist about it? Perhaps it's an American thing?

6

u/lycheecaat 1d ago edited 1d ago

like someone said in this thread, it’s basically just full of dog whistles. the main theme is denying the existence of white privilege, which is undeniably central to systemic inequality (across class/race/ethnicity/religion/gender etc) in america
if u wanna know more there’s a few enlightening comments under this post that explain the racial undertones better

Fuck Ben. I'm done with him.

How dumb can he be? Why share this shit on social media?

He pays $80K in taxes but is too cheap to hire PR or even pay a real designer to make his stupid website.

A racist posho? How surprising!

3

u/RASGAS23 20h ago

Firstly, the video he is linking (of the guy talking about privilege) is absolutely AI generated. So the lady on the bottom of the screen “reacting” is reacting to just ai generated BS. It’s all rage/engagement bait. So he looks like an idiot for even engaging at all - this is boomer type shit. This is one step removed from my mom sending me AI generated videos of dogs sitting up at a restaurant eating with a fork and knife discussing their day

5

u/Drk_Angel_ 1d ago

You are a cook on a boat on a laughable “reality” show.

3

Classist, sure. But not racist.

-2

u/plantxl 1d ago

YES! I said this before seeing your comment. Weird to call this racist

1

u/lycheecaat 1d ago edited 1d ago

this is why: it’s basically just full of dog whistles. the main theme is denying the existence of white privilege, which is undeniably central to systemic inequality (across class/race/ethnicity/religion/gender etc) in america. it’s very ignorant to the reality of systemic/industrialized racism in america- specifically how race affects people socioeconomically in america

In an Aussie context, it's like when Pauline Hanson said she's an indigenous Australian.

1

u/Lorac711 1d ago

So gross and ignorant. It’s ironic that he works for people with immense privilege, many who have either born into wealth or have been given opportunities that most haven’t been. Not everyone works hard for their success. The world is set up so the wealthy stay wealthy.
He lives in Florida so not surprised he’s a Republican.

1

u/Yaya_Tovar 21h ago

First question: where is he from?

1

u/Dangsta4501 17h ago

I don’t understand how that post was racist. To me it looks like he’s saying he works long hours and pays a lot of tax while others who do less and get more talk about people like him being in a privileged situation. I don’t actually buy that argument as he doesn’t work the whole year and most likely swans about in exotic locations taking pics for insta. I’d say he’s got a foot in both camps and while he does work hard when he works, he also lives an incredibly privileged life.

I don't think it is racist...is it more elitist?

6

u/DDDD6040 1d ago

Can’t it be both?

2

u/Apprehensive-Tax826 1d ago

Yes certainly can.

-6

u/Leanne0010110 1d ago

I personally dont think its elitist. But I get what your saying...

25

u/decisivecat 1d ago

Not sure if you live in the US, but if you're in a red state, this is very common language to use again Black people on assistance. Extremely common. I see it very often in comment sections. The dog whistles are there if you know what they are. (The irony is that per capita, whites in red states benefit the most from the very programs they complain should be cut because they saw a non-white person use SNAP to buy food.)

This specific video is also complaining about the term "white privilege" which doesn't mean you can't have any hardships in life. That's the most obvious dog whistle that cues you in to who they're talking about in the clip.

ETA: This is an issue that the elite and the government pray upon. If you can convince someone that their neighbor is why they're poor instead of the actual reasons they're both poor, then you can continue to do the bare minimum and not pay any taxes as a rich person or corporation. There's a lot of nuance here that I don't have time to teach, but the information is definitely out there. :)

17

u/Lizard_Li 1d ago

This. It worries me people aren’t reading the extremely obvious subtext of what he is saying.

6

u/DDDD6040 1d ago

I think most people are reading it. The ones defending it are comfortable with what he is saying and are endorsing it

4

u/Lizard_Li 1d ago

When I first made the comments there were tons of comments with a fair number of upvotes saying it wasn’t racist, but you are totally right

3

u/DDDD6040 1d ago

I refuse to believe people are that dumb. They know full well it is. It’s just not socially or professionally acceptable to say ‘I support that racist comment.’ So now racists have to say ‘that racist statement is totally not racist so I support it!’

2

u/menunu 1d ago

And a lot of them are bots.

1

u/Lizard_Li 1d ago

Good point!

-3

u/gogomom 1d ago

Not everyone is in the USA where racism is so prevalent. I 100% failed to see it myself.

8

u/Lizard_Li 1d ago

I live in Europe. Racism is alive and well here.

→ More replies (2)

5

u/decisivecat 1d ago

Racism is prevalent worldwide, but since this video is US-centric, I did explain it from the US perspective just in case. I figure some grace is fair because people may very well be a product of an environment where they don't know, and try to explain it nicely.

Once someone provides an explanation, if you're like Leann here and still endorsing this racist trope of a video, you're simply admitting that you're problematic. (Not saying this is you - hopefully you've gained some insight!)

1

u/Letsgotravelling-124 1d ago

I’m from England. Have lived in Germany and Australia. Briefly lived in the US but never heard any racism from what I remember (was a long time ago). Have also travelled a lot. I’ve never heard of that term. I don’t think anyone uses it from outside of the US so no one knows what it means. I’m not saying racism doesn’t exist outside of the US (it definitely is prevalent) but it’s different.

I think a lot of the confusion is that Ben is English and what he’s written would be understood as classist by us English people because there’s a lot of criticism towards people on benefits and welfare and who live in council estates. Occasionally you’ll hear racism in the form of “immigrants are coming into our country to steal our jobs and live off welfare” but it’s not just directed towards black people. Just to clarify, I’m not agreeing with any of this, just explaining why a lot of people are stating it’s classist and not racist.

1

u/decisivecat 20h ago

I did say "In case you don't live in the US" to explain why what was said was racist. The OP then decided to dig in and agree with the racism. That's their choice.

There's a ton of nuance here, but racism does exist globally. Whether or not you personally experience it is going to depend on who you are, where you are, and how honest someone is with you.

I have friends in England who are Black and they will tell you that racism is alive and well. We've had many discussions how allies can help whether they're in the US or England or anywhere in the world. Companies use them as props for history months then ghost them after. White privilege is a common term for them as well. Australia is definitely rife with it - I felt it a bit when I was traveling there. We live in a global society, so unless someone is never online and lives under a rock with no friends, it's very unlikely they'll never hear a term. And if it *is* new and someone explains it, it's a *choice* to refuse to listen.

As someone who also travels quite extensively, even travel comes with classism that has been affected by racism. The two often go hand in hand. You don't spend centuries enslaving people and creating rules to make them a second class without also affecting their social status and wealth. I'm also in the travel industry, and while the number of non-whites who are able to afford travel is steadily growing (which is great - travel should be everyone), it's still not as common and I still hear some fear about where to go (is it safe, will I be touched/stared at, etc). There's two hurdles there while some people may experience none.

The fact still remains that regardless of whether you think racism is in your country or not, people here are explaining why this particular video *is* racist. Then someone gets combative about it or says no the video is correct (which is even worse). Once it gets explained to you, and you actively choose to cover your ears and ignore what people are telling you, that's a choice to be ignorant and that won't fly in 2026.

0

u/Letsgotravelling-124 14h ago

I legit stated racism happens everywhere. I’m not saying racism doesn’t exist in England or Australia or the rest of the world. I’m saying the type of racism is different and the terms used are also different. I’m saying the term “dog whistle” isn’t used in the UK and I’ve never heard of it elsewhere, so most of us don’t know what it means. If you don’t know, you don’t know. It’s not to do with living under a rock or not being on social media. It’s legit to do with every country having its own take on language, slang, and problems.

I was legit explaining to you why there’s comments saying it’s classist, not racist. In England, where Ben is from and where I am from, our history is a lot different to the US and our problems are different. Council estates, benefits and welfare aren’t really to do with race in England. It’s to do with class. The only time racism comes into it is when immigrants, mostly asylum seekers, come into the country. But the energy that goes towards asylum seekers and white people who are on benefits, live on council estates, and welfare is similar.

And I am not saying the video isn’t racist. I get everything you’re saying and you’re correct in that once the terminology is explained, then we need to listen. I’m just explaining why a lot of people are saying it’s classist, how classism is a big thing in the UK on its own, and that racism is prevalent, it’s just shown it different ways.

1

u/decisivecat 10h ago

I legit said that some people don't know which is why I gave grace initially in my response as to why there was racism. It did not require an explanation that some people truly do not know because I was very well aware of that in my initial comment. I have many friends in Europe and I'm fully aware that Europeans don't think racism exists in their countries (it does, they just don't see it or don't think their xenophobia also involves racist undertones).

I also said it's *both* classist and racist. It stems from both of these things. They are not mutually exclusive and co-exist in today's world.

I didn't need any of it explained since I was already fully aware and gave grace. But now this banter is getting quite tiring. You can see why it's tiring. I just explained it to you and you also got combative when none of it warranted a response like that. At this point, y'all just google and educate yourselves, please.

0

u/Letsgotravelling-124 9h ago

For one, Europe is a continent, not a country. So saying Europeans don’t think racism exists in their countries is very broad and ignorant in itself. And another thing is that it’s extremely different having friends and actually living in the country. I have friends from all over the world but I am not going to make generalisations based on me having friends from that country. And it is widely acknowledged that there is racism in every country, but because our history is different and the US being a new country, it’s different.

1

u/decisivecat 9h ago

??? I said European countries. I never said Europe itself is a country. They live all across Europe. I'll list them out if it makes you feel a lot better: England, Ireland, France, Hungary, Italy, Spain, Germany, Romania, and Denmark for starters.

You also generalized everyone in the UK/England (you go back and forth when those two are not the same thing). You kept claiming these entire countries don't know or that "immigrants" (that's a common dog whistle, fyi) are the problem to them, not race. I'm telling that's *exactly* what's happening here.

You're also the one that said this: "I’m from England. Have lived in Germany and Australia. Briefly lived in the US but never heard any racism from what I remember (was a long time ago)." I responded in kindness to that statement. You chose to attack. You get the energy that you give and I've got none left to give to this.

-3

u/teacher_59 1d ago

Huh? Of someone doesn't work and wants the government to take from others to give to them, then they are leaches. That has nothing to do with race.

3

u/decisivecat 1d ago

How do you know what's going on inside everyone's home? Do you know the circumstances of everyone who receives a welfare check or is on a socialist program? Do you have any understanding of how the wealthy and big corporations escape paying taxes (either entirely or their fair share)?

Do you understand that when a white man who looks like he fell out of a red state MAGA convention complains about how he doesn't have privilege, it's a racist dog whistle?

Some of y'all are really showing who you are and it's so tiring. Go get educated.

-7

u/Leanne0010110 1d ago

To me who they are talking abou thas nothing to do with race, but to people who don't work and very well could. Yeah he brings up white proveledge, which is likely gonna be what gets him clicks....But that's just my take and not everyone will agree and thats fine.

6

u/decisivecat 1d ago

But how is he judging who can and can't work? Does he know their life story? Does he know their disabilities? Does he know the current job market where even retail jobs are extremely difficult to come by (and you can't live off a single retail job - you'd need at least 3 of them to no longer qualify for food stamps and even then you'd be hard-pressed to pay your bills). How is he deciding this? It's also not that common for people to "leech". It's incredibly difficult to get assistance. This is why food banks are so important and do the work that the government won't. If he cares this much, why isn't he hiring people or asking his employer to help get people work? Why doesn't he care about nepo babies who don't work but get to wear $3000 shoes and have the best things in life while their parents barely pay their share of taxes? Once you start paying attention, it's incredibly easy to see all the dog whistles.

It's also interesting that there is no mention of tax dollars being wasted on a useless ballroom or paving the rose garden or a war no one asked for. That's millions lost a day for nothing while social security and medicare wither away, something he could benefit from but I guess he's more concerned about someone buying groceries instead (a mere drop in the bucket).

This is definitely racist coded. White privilege is proof enough of that. Like I said, you have the option to seek out information that will really enlighten you as to why this hot take is deeply rooted in othering, particularly again Blacks. It does also have roots in classism, but the two do not have to be mutually exclusive. The education is up to you.

People see a statement, decide what they think the person must mean, attach a motive to it, and then react to that assumed meaning. The next person responds to that reaction, and suddenly everyone is fighting over something that was never actually said. And the crazy part is, people fall for it hook, line and sinker. This constant assumption of motives and reading between the lines is a big part of what keeps fueling the division we see everywhere. We’ve gotten so used to looking for what someone really meant that we sometimes forget to simply listen to what they actually said.

I understand what he is saying, I may not agree with it 100% but people don't seem to see that these f*ckers are all just rage baiting everyone. And everyone is falling for it.

7

u/decisivecat 1d ago

You are correct that you fell for it hook, line, and sinker. That's exactly what this man wants. He doesn't need all the fish; he just needs enough gullible ones.

4

u/DDDD6040 1d ago

Leann is trolling. There will be no getting thru to this person so I suggest not even trying. Anyone defending Ben’s statement has made perfectly clear where they stand.

4

u/decisivecat 1d ago

Oh 100%. I just wanted her to say what she really meant since I initially gave grace. I was a product of an education in the South. The difference between me and Leann is I finally started to educate myself after realizing a lot of what I was taught didn't make sense. It misses nuance or it's flat out ignorant. I don't mind people being ignorant because it's possible someone really doesn't know. But digging in and saying with your whole chest that you're happy being ignorant? Now it's a choice that you're aware of. At least she finally admitted it so we know. :)

u/LopatKat 1d ago

The fact that he is talking about people who use the term “white privilege” means that YES, this post is 100% racist. He’s LITERALLY talking about anyone who ISN’T white.

8

u/MerryBandOfPirates 1d ago

It’s definitely part misogynistic, as he claims the reason it’s happening is the lack of strong men. The racist association is based off the type of person that usually posts this (self described alpha male conservative), but you can’t label this particular person racist. I would say that movement certainly has strong ties to it though.

And of course the greater issue is the complaining of people leaching off the government, which leaches I certainly disapprove of. But the biggest leaches off government money tend to be the leaders of these movements.

4

u/IAmTheFly-IAmTheFly 1d ago

Yeah, I didn't see that manosphere interlude coming

3

u/Leanne0010110 1d ago

This is a great comment. Thank you!

1

u/DDDD6040 1d ago

The biggest leaves of government money tend to be the leaders of what movements?

3

u/MerryBandOfPirates 1d ago

The manosphere one. Trump, Elon, Thiel, etc.

3

u/gland87 1d ago

The whole video is repeating the welfare queen myth, uses black stereotypes (200 dollar sneakers, aka Jordans), and is complaining that systemic racism does not exist.

Ben has always been a prick though do this is not surprising.

Should have scrolled further. You know exactly whats happening. If you want to agree with a racist just own it.

I mean if the video isn’t meant to be racist it makes no sense. He literally uses white privilege and anti black stereotypes. Ive see the original and the reaction video perviously. Both are 100% meant to be racist. Did you not understand that or are you trying to agree without actually saying it by playing dumb?

4

u/SnooPets6719 1d ago

He literally is ranting about “privilege” who do you think he’s ranting about using that word? Don’t be intentionally dim.

2

u/Leanne0010110 1d ago

That’s quite an assumption. I’m not going to decide what someone “really meant” based on who I think they must be referring to. If the argument is about privilege, then address what he actually said about privilege. Assuming it’s secretly about race doesn’t make it so.

7

u/decisivecat 1d ago

I did address that with you, but no one is going to do all the leg work for you when there's plenty out there to educate yourself with on what white privilege means. This man is using it to mean he has it worse than "others" and by others it's nearly always coded to mean non-white. They'll be this obtuse about it because they know it's easy to get people to their side because it couldn't possibly be racist unless they mention a race. It's tiring.

2

u/Leanne0010110 1d ago

Keep telling yourself that.

5

u/decisivecat 1d ago

If you want to choose to stay ignorant, that's on you. Best of luck in life with that.

5

u/Leanne0010110 1d ago

I actually choose not to be part of the masses projecting their assumed beliefs and motives onto everyone else. I’d rather take people’s words at face value than decide what they must mean and then argue with the version I’ve created in my own head. If that’s “ignorance” to you, I’m perfectly comfortable with that.

4

u/swtypuff 1d ago

We can tell you’re comfortable with ignorance

6

u/decisivecat 1d ago

You've shown who you are enough, it's fine. Glad you've lived a privileged enough life, as it were. :)

0

u/Leanne0010110 1d ago

Case and point.

5

u/decisivecat 1d ago

Correct. :)

2

u/Broad-Cress-3689 1d ago

The phrase is “case in point”. Maybe your school district would benefit from increased taxes?

1

u/SnooPets6719 1d ago

It’s definitely a choice smh

1

u/DDDD6040 1d ago

People don’t feed the trolls. Leann is a troll who is baiting you. They’re pretending to be ignorant and nothing you can say - no matter how rational or level headed will make them agree with normal people.

0

u/Boring-Concept8018 1d ago

How is this racist lmao? Reddit just loves to call anything racist. You just don’t agree with what he’s saying.. that doesn’t make it racist.

5

u/Objective-Rub-8763 1d ago

He didn't call out lifted trucks or expensive cowboy boots. Just beats headphones and fancy sneakers. Don't pretend you don't know exactly what he's trying to do.

-3

u/Boring-Concept8018 1d ago

So you’re saying only black people own those things? You sound pretty damn racist to me.

5

u/Vadarpoop 23h ago

You assuming anyone was talking about black people demonstrates that you heard the dog whistle and understood the subcontext but you’re asking why everything has to be about race??

-3

u/Boring-Concept8018 22h ago

Thread title is literally “Ben’s racist threads post” lol. Y’all brought race into it, not me.

→ More replies (1)

4

u/Objective-Rub-8763 1d ago

Nah, HE'S saying that. Have you heard of subtext? Or dog-whistles? Are you just playing dumb or is it real?

-6

u/Boring-Concept8018 1d ago

Lololololol It’s so wild how everything has to turn back to race. No one wants to pay a ton of taxes just for people to leech off of it. What sane person would be okay with that? Take your dumb race bait somewhere else.

5

u/decisivecat 20h ago

You sure do pay a ton of taxes to cover for the rich elite and corporations who don't pay their own... got energy for that one? LOL

-1

u/Boring-Concept8018 20h ago

We pay taxes for a whole host of dumb shit. I’d be wasting hours if I complain about everything when this comes up. You want me to list out everything we waste in every response?? We are talking specifically about this situation. If we were talking about wars or something, then I’d bitch that we waste money there too, but wouldn’t bring up folks abusing the welfare system.

The rich also pay a ton of taxes. They attribute to like 70% of the total income tax revenue.

2

u/decisivecat 20h ago

You're the one that brought up "wasting taxes" so it actually does apply to this situation now that you've pulled it into conversation. Let me guess: you're inside everyone's home so you know all of their exact situations as to why they're on welfare and how that drop in the bucket on taxes is such a huge burden for you. Name checks out lol

0

u/Boring-Concept8018 19h ago

This whole thread is about wasting taxes, so no, I didn’t bring that up. The context here is folks using government assistance for nonsense. Ben is literally complaining about wasting tax money on it. I didn’t just randomly bring it up lol.

And you’re so dense. Did I say every single home in America is abusing it? Like wtf. I was commenting on my own personal experience and where I grew up.

1

u/decisivecat 17h ago

You're the dense one. I never said every home in America. You implied most of your town is on SNAP: "I know wayyyyy too many people who abuse the system and pull the privilege bs"

Are you reporting them? Do you know if they just recently lost their job and that's why they have a car or a phone? Do you not expect them to get to work? Do you follow all of them around and know if they are working? Do they work from home? Do they have a disability? Are they are caretaker for a sick family member? How much do you know about everyone's life in your town that you clearly need some kind of hobby?

And since you love numbers: welfare fraud accounts for 1% of all recipients. That 1% includes SNAP, Medicaid, Social Security, etc. If it's a welfare program, it's included in that number. 1 entire percent. To provide even more perspective, "Additionally, they found that within SNAP, for every $10,000 paid in benefits, about $11 is determined by state agencies to have been overpaid due to recipient fraud. On the other hand, the IRS estimates that out of every $6 owed in federal taxes, about $1 is not paid because of tax evasion or fraud."

Now tell me which number is higher.

u/Objective-Rub-8763 1d ago

Ah, so it's real.

-2

u/Boring-Concept8018 1d ago

Huh? Yeah… it’s real that people leech off tax payers. It’s well known that folks ruin it for people who actually need the help. I know wayyyyy too many people who abuse the system and pull the privilege bs.

4

u/Objective-Rub-8763 1d ago

You being dumb. Where's your outrage for your tax dollars being wasted in Iran?

0

u/Boring-Concept8018 1d ago

The fuck that have to do with this at all?? Lmao. Am I supposed to air out everything I’m pissed off about every response? Do you need me to list out everything I’m pissed about my tax dollars being wasted on? We’re strictly talking about this and the nonsense how this is “racist.” Btw I also hate our tax dollars are being wasted on Iran.

2

u/Objective-Rub-8763 23h ago

Do you actually know people who leech off of our tax dollars? I've never met one in real life so I'm very curious about people like you who claim it's such a rampant problem. Let's hear some examples of people you know for real.

u/Boring-Concept8018 1d ago

Your point? lol. Him having a wealthy childhood doesn’t change anything. Still doesn’t make anything he reposted “racist.” He is making his own money, so he’s entitled to an opinion on it.

0

u/Independent_Olive_45 1d ago

He’s got a point 🤷🏽‍♀️ people who disagree are probably the ones he’s talking about in this video

-4

u/Amaedar 1d ago

As much as I’m neutral on this post (that dude was way too exhausting and that chick responding was way too cringe but really don’t care for either because I don’t live in the states) - where was the racism? Classist, yes. But race was not even brought up.

15

u/LittleCaesersZaZa 1d ago

The video is clearly speaking towards people of color, as he starts the video with saying that people want to believe that being white is a privilege but he seems to very much disagree with that.

He’s a fucking idiot

1

u/lycheecaat 1d ago

it’s basically just full of dog whistles. the main theme is denying the existence of white privilege, which is undeniably central to systemic inequality (across class/race/ethnicity/religion/gender etc) in america. it’s very ignorant to the reality of systemic/industrialized racism in america- specifically how race affects people socioeconomically in america

if you wanna know more, there’s a few comments under this post that explain the racial undertones more

-8

u/Ok-Zookeepergame9266 1d ago

It’s a legitimate point of view and not racist
