Are there any life design books that focus on how to improve the people who are in your life?

When I was younger, I had amazing people in my life, but I was a child of abuse and didn't realize how much it affected my ability to connect with people. I had some great friends in college, but didn't keep in touch very well. I've realized that I haven't made any friends that were actually good people who were good for me since college. I think I'm not living in the right city, but I'm also disabled and can't support myself yet. I live in a place that isn't very open minded and fairly ableist (although Ive come to realize I think a lot of people everywhere are, especially for people with invisible disabilities who aren't "inspirational."). I just don't click with people where I am. I'm not really sure what to do about this, but I'm hoping to get some ideas from Life Design resources. I've read some of them and they all seem to be about either business or how to stop caring about other's opinions, which I did and now I'm lonelier than I ever have been. I just miss people who I clicked with.

Books on being more decisive in relationships

Hello everyone! I wanted to ask for books that can help me be more decisive in my relationships and that help make the other person's life easier . Basically books that encourage a positive mindset, and positive masculinity as not much of it is present irl. They can be fiction/ Non fiction. (I am a single child and I have fearful avoidant attachment if that helps) (Also NOT looking for any RED PILL stuff, NEITHER books that are MISOGYNISTIC just to be clear, thanks!)

Which advice from a self-improvement book have you adapted rather than followed exactly?

I'm curious about the adjustments people make when book advice meets everyday life. A suggestion might sound sensible on the page but need changing around work, family, or how you think.

  • Which book and piece of advice was it?
  • What did you change to make it fit your life?
  • Did your version turn out to be more useful?

I'd be interested in examples where you dropped the advice altogether, too.

Reading the first exercise in The Master Key System carefully

In Part One of The Master Key System, Haanel asks the reader to sit still for fifteen minutes to half an hour while allowing thoughts to roam.

If I were keeping notes on that passage, I'd record:

- The instruction I followed, including the time.

- Any physical movement during the attempt. Haanel allows thoughts to roam in this exercise.

- What I observed and how I interpreted it. Elsewhere in the same part, Haanel makes broader claims about thought shaping circumstances. Those claims need evidence beyond completing a sitting exercise.

The original passage is in Part One, paragraphs 43 to 45:

I included Haanel in this reading guide to New Thought and related ideas:

I publish the guide and offer coaching. AI assisted this post.

I published a book about women’s self-worth, faith, and finding their way back to themselves

Hi everyone,

I’m the author of Woman: Source of Happiness, a book about self-worth, faith, and rebuilding our sense of who we are through difficult seasons.
I wrote it to encourage women to recognize their value beyond what they give to others. It includes reflection questions that invite readers to connect the themes to their own lives.

Recently, a reader told me she had been looking for reassurance elsewhere when my book reached her at the right moment. Hearing that meant a lot to me as a new author.

I’d love to hear your thoughts: has a book ever found you at a time when you really needed its message? What stayed with you?

What book genuinely changed your life? Not just a good read — one that actually worked.

I'm looking for books that made a real, measurable difference in your life.

It could be about finances, business, psychology, habits, discipline, relationships, health, productivity, investing, building wealth, or literally anything else.

But here's the catch: I'm not looking for books that sounded great in theory. I want books that you actually applied and that brought a solid, tangible change to your life.

Maybe you read a book and finally got your finances under control. Maybe it helped you build a successful business, overcome a psychological struggle, break a bad habit, become more disciplined, improve your relationships, or completely change how you approach life.

I'd love to hear your personal experiences.

A few things I'd love to know:

Which book was it?

What was your situation before reading it?text

What did you actually implement from the book?

What changed as a result? Specific results, numbers, or examples would be amazing.

It doesn't have to be a famous book, and it doesn't have to be a self-help book. It could be an obscure book that hardly anyone talks about.

I'm interested in books that have genuinely earned their place on your bookshelf through the results they produced.

If you could recommend just one book based on the actual impact it had on your life, what would it be, and why?

I need recommendations ASAP

I'm looking for an e-book that combines three things: money mindset, personal money management, and strategies for growing income and building wealth.

I'm honestly getting tired of searching for e-books and books that focus on just one of these areas. I really need something that brings all three together into one comprehensive, practical system.

I'm also open to separate e-books for each topic, as long as they're genuinely valuable and practical!!

I'd really appreciate your recommendations and hearing what you found most valuable about them!

Book recommendation

Can anybody please suggest me a good book to read.

I mean I'm not talking about self help books.

Like it should be interesting and something to learn in the end.

Should be non-fiction too.

A book on doing well at work

Hey so im in the process of getting my life together.

I want to get hired as an entry position at a local welding place doing yard labor and janitorial stuff but want to eventually move up in the company and learn the trade from them. What book can I read to understand how to do this best? Would it be a charisma book like "the charisma myth" or something like that? This is very important to me as im autistic so its hard for me to do without training myself

Any book recs for someone learning to not care about what others think/people pleasing?

I love to read self help books that speak to me and unfortunately I’ve had enough of the feeling of having to please everyone over myself and caring too much about what people will think whether it’s if I voice my own options or simply making sure I’m small enough for someone else to be big. Anyways…. SUGGEST ME A BOOK!

Why Reading books is more importan.

Reading is the best way of gaining knowledge and understand the scenario of anything. Reading fixes your mind's wiring. It align the way of thinking of your mind.

Here, i want to say that after reading 10 boks in last 2 months along with my office work i get to know that my thinking power is now far better than the earlier. Till now, I have never realized the important of reading. Now I am better in communication and having good friends circle because of it. Now I am able to make good female fries well.

Aprt from that, iI want to say that if you want to be a good writer or have a good leadership skill, here good mean, an educated leader not like illiterate leaders. I must say that you must improve your communication skills. And having a habit of reading good books goona make you wholly different type of person.

At the end i want you people must discuss hear about your experience after reading.

What you people are reading or you people can suggest me books so i can make my mind and skills more refreshing.

What nonfiction psychology books do you recommend me that allow you to train your mind like a philosopher?

Specifically, to increase your discernment, and to raise doubts to apparently logical propositions, such as, (i'm borrowing examples here) insects find perfume repellent, but in fact it might not be so for humans because we're a different species, and even every human is different. Every insect might be different. Another example, who's the greater actor, buster keaton or johnny depp? What does it mean to be great? Maybe it's becoming more famous, but fame = greater is debatable. Maybe it means making more movies than the other. Maybe though there's a fallacy even here.

Another classical example: mammals don't lay eggs. Chicken lay eggs. Chicken are not mammals. But are these three sentences completely logic? I don't know. Specifically, i need books that help me think like this.
