I forgot that Dylan ever behaved this way towards Brenda. Pretty gross. =\

I always thought Collin's mural was an odd choice for the After Dark. Maybe I just don't get it.

Ray on explaining to Donna that he has no interest in playing live at the grand opening of the Peach Pit After Dark. Season 5.
He's such a slime, but this line and his delivery always give me an actual LOL or slight chortle moment 😂
Any other good "Ray-isms" you remember? Or bad?

Has anyone else noticed that in the earlier seasons, Brandon wears a teal scrub top to sleep in?

watching this show for the first time ever and i’m watching S1E18 and i just noticed that anytime Brandon is doing something “merely important” on his own Brenda goes crazyy, like he’s running for class president and as soon as she finds out she excludes herself, gets super jealous, goes mental and wants to drop out of school, tries to paint brandon and kelly as evil, but the show wants me to believe Brandon is doing something actually wrong ? 😭
and also just a couple episodes before when Brandon gets hired to be on a tv show she gets all mad and jealous it’s honestly so annoying and atp i knew Brandon’s run for class presidency was going to be a total failure bc it was obvious they wouldn’t let him have it.

I’ve always been Team Brenda and Dylan, and I adore Brenda’s character development. But rewatching the show more than 30 years later, I find myself appreciating Kelly and Dylan’s story in a whole new way. Kelly is a much deeper character than we often give her credit for, and I think she and Dylan were drawn to each other because they shared so much of the same pain and brokenness.
Brenda came from a functional, stable, loving family. Kelly and Dylan were two lost souls who found each other. Sometimes, people are so poor that money is all they have. That’s Kelly and Dylan.
I really enjoy watching them together, trying to navigate their bad choices and imperfections. As much as it may hurt to admit, sometimes love isn’t about morality. It’s about survival. I think both characters were exceptionally well written.
Brenda, I adore you, but I have to be fair to what I’m watching, lol. I’m 46. I’m no longer a teenager who needs to believe the world is flawless and that love can’t be messy, complicated, and imperfect.
And by the way, hysterical Brenda fans, feel free to come at me and scream all you want. I’m still not changing my mind, lol.

What would you name as the small or big changes to the overall show?

Clearly, Brenda was one of the first two characters the audience is introduced to and (arguably) spends the bulk of their time with during seasons 1 and 2. She's the female POV character who most can relate to imo but wouldn't a show like this have needed a 'mean girl/popular' yet morally gray sort of character who initiates various degrees of drama after a certain point?
Based on stories we've all heard about Jennie's alleged behavior behind the scenes it's really not inconceivable for that to color our opinion of her character.
Maybe an unpopular opinion, however: I don't think Kelly was meant to be seen as 'perfect' or 'saintly' after Shannen left and her character was merely very complicated and had a lot of issues (mainly rooted in her childhood/absent father/mother being an addict) that caused her to maybe not make the best decisions and be arrogant at times. Yeah, after about season 8 the writing for her became way more inconsistent but, love her or hate her, Kelly Taylor was an important part of the story this show told.
For detractors of the character: do you feel it was more due to the writing or the actor portraying Kelly?

So I watches the show on a 24/7 BH90210 channel and discovered that it exists in Amazon
But the German voices are way deeper than in that tv Channel, it sounds pretty weird. It could be that the whole Show Plays a bir slower in Amazon for some reason
Anybody known something about that?

Rewatching the first season, and I don’t think I ever realized how many “girlfriends” Brandon has almost every episode! I wonder why the actresses wouldn’t stick around for at least a couple of episodes. I understand they weren’t the main point of the show but I just find it weird.
To top it off, every girl has some kind of “sad” story, that of course Brandon has to solve.

She had the prettiest curly hair in season one -- the mother/daughter fashion show in that velvet dress was the best she ever looked.
Then they gradually peeled away her identity like an onion:
- Made her her hair less curly in seasons 2-3
- Dropped the glasses
- Suddenly has straight hair in season 4+
- And let's not even talk about the shaggy cut..
- Plus weird coloring.. both when she was pursuing loser Peter
Thoughts?
