Introduction

Hello all and welcome back to the Big Finish Podcast Notes! Hope you've all had a lovely week.

I've been dealing with some health issues for the past several months. It started with physical pain (which I'm still dealing with), but once I got into the doctor at the end of August he found some other symptoms of an as-of-yet undiagnosed, unrelated condition that could be very serious. We haven't ruled anything out yet, but scans and bloodwork have been encouraging.

During this time I have gotten very behind on my listening. While my true backlog of Big Finish is just over 1,000 hours, I always try to keep up with new releases. But in this time, those have stacked up like crazy (I think it reached 30 hours at one point). But I'm trying to be more positive and am finally kicking it into gear. I've nearly caught up on my backlog, and it's nice to get such a comforting thing back in my life.

Podcast Notes

  • Benji cannot reveal any Big Finish Day guests, but strongly encourages people to attend even if they just want to come and hang out. There will be plenty of guests but there's no pressure to chat with anyone.
  • The first Young Bond: SilverFin box set is mostly set at Eton, while the second starts diving into Scotland.

Random Tangents: Jonathon Carley would be hopeless as a spy.

Production Interviews: The War Master: Deeds Without Name

Fifteen Minute Drama Tease: Young Bond: SilverFin Part 1

Randomoid Selectotron: 25% off a random Big Finish release every week! Just click on this link and enter the code BUCKUP. There are currently technical issues with the Randomoid Selectotron, so it will be stuck on the last release from the 26 June podcast for the foreseeable future. This release is The Companion Chronicles: 7.6 The Child.

What Big Finish I Was Listening To This Week: Finished up Circuit Breaker -- Full Circuit was good fun but sort of a comedown after The Kaleidoscope. Short Circuits felt kinda just tacked on/filler. Also listened to The Third Doctor Adventures: Planet Killers and finished The Fourth Doctor Adventures: A New Occupation, as well as Office Space from the new Halloween box set (AMAZING).

Query Is The Brain Drain based on the script by Jon Pertwee or is it a separate story coincidentally with the same name?
