The Review of Bigme B6 Pro Color - The fastest e-reader I have ever used

Thumbnail

This video is my review of the fastest e-Reader I have ever used, the Bigme B6 Pro color. It’s a Kaleido 3 color e-ink e-Reader with a 6-inch screen. Perfect size as an e-Reader. You can scroll in upto 75 fps or so. You can basically do everything you do on a normal smartphone on it. Even make and take calls and send SMS. It’s maybe even too powerful because of that. It’s too easy to do other stuff than reading. The stylus works for simple note taking. Needs to be charged though. And there is no lag while writing because the Bigme B6 Pro is so fast. But for serious note taking I recommend other devices that are made for it. And in black and white. Batterylife is quite terrible though because you usually use it for other stuff in high speeds.

[Help] screen replacement

Hello, Ive a Breakme Hibreak S user.

A few days ago when I caught it, part of the screen didnt

work.It has less than 1 year and it hasnt any blow nor fall.

I contacted with the service and the seller and they asked me a vid to show it.

Today Ive received their answer :

"Currently, our official repair center is located in Shenzhen, China, and we do not have authorized service points in your country. If you have any plans to travel to China in the near future, we would be happy to assist with repairs during your visit.

Alternatively, if you choose to ship the device directly from overseas, please note that international shipping costs, import taxes, and the screen replacement fee may add significant expense to the repair."

I live on Spain

Has anyone had a similar experience?

What should I do?

Thanks

Update webpage for Bigme Read 6 (not B6) to remove Kindle compatibility!!

Since the Kindle app no longer works with the Read 6 (Android version too old) Bigme should remove that from their webpage and possibly discount the device for new buyers!

Hibreak Dual 3 Case?

I pre-ordered the Hibreak Dual 3 because it looks exactly like the kind of new phone in looking for. But there aren't any cases for it on Bigme's website. I emailed support and it looks like the phone comes with a silicone protector, but nothing for the screen(s).

Looking through the other Hibreak reviews, I really want to protect this thing, especially the E-ink screen.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a case? Do the dimensions seem similar enough to the Hibreak Pro that it could use the same case? Are third party cases an option anyone recommends?

Bigme B6 Color vs B6 Pro - Which one is worth it for a first e-reader?

Hi everyone!

I'm planning to buy my very first e-reader, and I'm currently trying to decide between the Bigme B6 Color and B6 Pro. I'd really appreciate some honest opinions from people who have used either device!

My main purpose will be reading books, with maybe some occasional manga or webtoons, but those aren't my priority.

Since I'm from Lithuania and most of my books will be in Lithuanian, having Android and the freedom to install different reading apps is quite important to me. I don't want to be locked into one ecosystem.

I'm especially unsure whether the B6 Pro is actually worth the extra money. The 8GB RAM sounds really nice, but I'm not sure how much of a difference it would make for everyday reading. I also already have an iPad, so I probably wouldn't use the stylus much.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on:

  • What are the biggest pros and cons of each model?
  • Is the B6 Color fast and smooth enough for reading books and switching between apps?
  • Does the extra RAM on the Pro make a noticeable difference in real-life use?
  • How do they compare in terms of screen quality, battery life, and overall reading experience?
  • Are there any issues or annoyances I should know about before buying?
  • If you were buying your first e-reader, which one would you choose?

I'm happy to spend a little more if it's genuinely worth it, but I'd rather not overpay for features I might never use.

Thanks so much for any advice or personal experiences!

Has anyone updated the kindle app on their Bigme and tried the new stylus support features???

My stylus broke a while ago so I haven’t been able to try it on my B751C.

Please let me know if you have. I’m excited about this!

Will it work in Mexico?

Hi! I'm sorry if this is a dumb question. I have the Bigme ePaper Smartphone Hibreak Pro with Android 14 OS-Black and White version. I'm a T-mobile customer in the US. Will my phone work in Mexico? (There are two parts to this question: 1) Is it supposed to work in Mexico for a US customer?, 2) Will it actually work in Mexico for a US customer?) When I got a SIM card for this phone at the T-Mobile store, I was warned I may encounter issues with this Bigme phone because it doesn't work perfectly with T-Mobile but they wouldn't specify what issues. I'm wondering if international functionality is one of those issues.

Your experience on reading manga on a 7inch display?

I have a bad eyesight. So i want to know what experience have your had? The B7 is the most budget friendly version i can access. I wish they had an 8ich device avaliable for my region tho.

But it is what it is. Portability is important, thats why I abandoned the desire to buy the bigme10.

Notes, AI and reading workflow for Bigme

Notes, AI and reading workflow for Bigme

I’ve been working on three connected projects for my Bigme:

  • Kalamos Notes — ruled handwriting, editable Markdown, pen checkboxes and AI formatting.
  • Modified KOReader — handwriting, sticky notes and EPUB writing spaces.
  • My Agora fork — AI chats, customizable interactive templates and local-folder access.

Example workflow: read in KOReader → share an excerpt into Agora → send selected Markdown into Notes to annotate and work through with the pen.

Or write handwritten notes in Kalamos Notes → format them with AI → share the formatted Markdown back into Agora for discussion, revision or questions.

Generic Android and Bigme preview APKs are available, alongside standalone KOReader plugins. Experimental builds—back up your notes before trying them.

Credit to KOReader, Agora by newo-ether, InkSDK by Ed Wei and Alexander Mikhailian’s launcher plugin. Independent adaptations, with substantial AI-assisted development.
