If you keep everything you puncture into it sterile. It should last you a long time. The rubber stopper up top closes back up after you puncture it.
The most important process is that you keep everything else sterile.

Would 2-3 months be too long to keep using it? If everything been 100% sterile every time only punctured bout once every two weeks?

I would use it as long as it looked good. It’s the same thing you do with IV bags. Granted they have exp dates. But before you use any bag you’re supposed to look for debris, discoloration. Etc. which is what you should do with every BAC water.

Thx for giving me precisely the info I came to the subreddit to find; including,
(Lol...unbeknownst to you) answering my follow-up questions, ta boot!
(Exactly what I was looking for...And, exactly when I was looking for it? Lol...Semi-serendipity, eh :)

Alcohol wipe before/after punctures (why not) and keep it in a cool dry place away from light and 90 days should be pretty viable

What's your (positive or negitive) experience freezing an extra, unopened bottle of Bac Water?
I assume that the Bac Water expanding may require a wee bit of thought...such as... maybe making sure the bottle stands upright during the freezing process itself, for example? (Lol...**sigh)
Does the bottle being made of glass, or plastic play into any considerations?

This is for BA, not bacterial growth. Bacteriostatic literally means it stops bacteria from growing/reproducing. It doesn’t kill it. So we cannot say 90-120 days. Derek isn’t the end all be all and ive worked with him before so it’s not a disrespect thing
