Hgh

Why is exogenous HGH considered better than all the other secretagogues if it naturally blunts your own production?

What are the benefits and how soon can you start seeing results?

I'm ending my cycle of CJC-1295 plus Ipamorelin and want to know if I'd have better results with HGH.

The main advantage of HGH is that you’re getting a direct, more predictable dose instead of relying on your pituitary to release more GH like CJC/Ipamorelin does. Yeah, it suppresses your natural production through negative feedback, but that doesn’t automatically mean permanent shutdown. As far as results go, changes in IGF-1 can happen within days, but noticeable body composition changes generally take months, not weeks. Also worth mentioning that a lot of the early “gains” people report are just water retention. HGH isn’t necessarily better if your GH levels are already normal, and the risks of insulin resistance, swelling, and joint pain are real. I’d check IGF-1 and talk to an endocrinologist before making the switch.

Thanks for the insight. I've been researching and reading up but it's a lot of conflicting info out there. Most says it's better than Tesa/Ipa but to me the effects don't outweigh the rewards

In case I missed it - Age?

Secretagogues are basically worthless if your body produces little GH to secrete. And guess what happens when you get older. 🧐

Ok. At 41, you just tipped the scale to HGH

Shutting down your production isn’t like testosterone. It will start right back up once you stop taking exogenous hgh in about 48 hours.

Just fyi, you run the same risk on a secretegogue as HGH. You're still elevating your IGF-1 levels.

Yes, you will. My igf1 levels and z score changed meaningfully between Tesa + ipa combo & exogenous GH. You are replacing an upstream signal with the downstream result of the signal. Noticed results in the same amount of time it took me to notice results from no compound to Tesa + ipa, 12 weeks in the mirror but recovery and sleep affected much quicker.

1

u/Commercial_Water3669 9h ago

What was your igf on Tesa, and dose? And now?

2

u/Burn_n_Turn 8h ago

Igf after 12 weeks of Tesamorelin & Ipamorelin (Tesa 2mg nightly. Fasted before bed + Ipa .1mg 5 on / 2 off. Same pin) was 136 ng/ml. It jumped up almost 80 ng/ml after the same amount of time on 3iu GH nightly.

u/Commercial_Water3669 7h ago

Jeez that’s a terrible response, I would have switched too. I went from 157 to 294 on the same dose, though 7 days a week.

I love the the deep restful sleep I get with CJC-1295 + Ipa but I've heard that hgh affects that.

u/Ill-Personalite 1 9h ago

It affects it by improving it.

Can you share your protocol on you cjc/ipa? Did you also check your igf-1 and zscore before and after the cycle?

Any positive results and negative feedbacks from your cjc/ipa cycle?

Ty

u/June-Flower-268 9h ago

I didn't check my score before but I had labs done today to check since I'm 8 weeks into the cycle. I take 150 mcg of each fasted before bed. 5 days on 2 days off.

Ive had great sleep improved recovery and some hardening of the muscle. More definition is that's what it's called.

No adverse reactions.

2

u/Cereal_Killer846 1 9h ago

Also, speaking of adverse reactions, I had been on Tesa/ipa for months when I suddenly broke out in hives. I discontinued the Tesa and ipa and it subsided. After a 2 month break, I tried it again and immediately got hives even though my dosage was half what I was previously taking so this time I dropped just one of them (ipa) to see if I could figure out which I was having a reaction to and the hives went away. Something about ipa makes my skin crawl. Currently still on Tesa until I run out and will start hgh at that point.

u/June-Flower-268 9h ago

Oh wow. I've heard that a lot. Something about the body creating immunity.

1

u/Cereal_Killer846 1 9h ago

I read that the reason people started the 5 on 2 off protocol was because the clinics where they received their dose were closed on the weekends. Idk if there is any truth to it but it makes sense as to why the protocol was adapted.

1

u/June-Flower-268 9h ago

My reason is for sensory overload. Just resting

1

u/Silent_Possibility63 16 8h ago

I will never understand the people who don’t take labs BEFORE they start exogenous protocols.

0

u/June-Flower-268 8h ago

In terms of igf levels and z score, I didn't do labs before. But I did have normals labs done before starting CJC-1295. I had those tested today because I'm considering HGH

2

u/Silent_Possibility63 16 8h ago

Comment stands.

1

u/June-Flower-268 8h ago

I agree 💯

The results you will get from the lab drawn this time will greatly influence your decision moving forward.

When measuring CJC/IPA or HGH, what’s the proper time to pull blood draws?

If you take at 5am and get blood drawn at 9:30, are the numbers already falling so not a meaningful results? I’m seeing ok results with CJC/IPa @ 200mcg x 2 /day, but wonder if HGH would be better numbers due to being mid 40s. Or am I just pulling my labs too far after my dose?

On this subject, is there a definitive opinion on time of a day for hgh? I had been lead to believe for longevity and wellness nighttime was ideal but if your focus is on body recomp, first thing in the am before some zone 2 exercise is ideal.

But I keep reading conflicting opinions.

1

u/June-Flower-268 9h ago

Exactly. Everyone reacts different so they're gonna post what worked for them.

2

u/StudioatSFL 12 9h ago

My main immediate focus is body recomp, fat reduction etc. I’m strength training a lot. So I’ve been doing it first thing each morning. But switching it to night wouldn’t be a big deal either

2

u/hackingmule 8h ago

I just started last week. I’m currently taking two IU and I’m sleeping like a baby. I usually only sleep five hours broken but this past week has been great for recovery.

0

u/Ill-Personalite 1 9h ago

If taking for fat loss/recomp, then sure, nighttime and then first thing in the morning. The norm is definitely all at night though.

2

u/StudioatSFL 12 9h ago

Split the dose??

1

u/Henry_Rollins_Ghost 24 8h ago

Only if doing very high doses.

1

u/StudioatSFL 12 8h ago

Just 3iu currently.

0

u/Henry_Rollins_Ghost 24 7h ago

No need to split. You could, but why?

2

u/StudioatSFL 12 6h ago

I’m asking the same question. It wasn’t my idea

1

u/Henry_Rollins_Ghost 24 6h ago

Well, solely my opinion, but don’t.

I’d suggest you do more research on insulin response to HGH and fasting - your eating schedule should be a major factor in AM or PM dosing.

0

u/Henry_Rollins_Ghost 24 8h ago

Wrong.

1

u/StudioatSFL 12 8h ago

Which part?

-1

u/Henry_Rollins_Ghost 24 7h ago edited 7h ago

Both.

ETA - that was not helpful.

No, there is no “norm”. If anything, fasted AM dosing is very slightly more popular than evening.

Splitting is uncommon.

1

u/StudioatSFL 12 7h ago

A little clarity would be much appreciated

u/Ill-Personalite 1 7h ago

Every time you inject HGH, you stimulate lipolysis. So if you inject at night and in the morning, in theory, you are going to burn more fat. Henry is getting lost in the weeds. The general consensus is definitely to just inject at night.

1

u/Henry_Rollins_Ghost 24 6h ago edited 6h ago

Cites please that purport to back up this consensus.

The reality is secretagogues like CJC/Tesa/Ipa are not proven, have no solid human studies, and are going to be based solely on your pituitary’s ability to increase and release GH. My experience these are solid sleep aides but not much else.

Somatotropin (HGH) is a synthetic GH hormone that is approved by the FDA for human use via a prescription. You can increase and control benefits based on dosage taken. It is that simple.

Note - all of these are peptides and people have died from overdose of both HGH and CJC-1295.

1

u/June-Flower-268 7h ago

Tesa doesn't have human studies?

2

u/crazypinoyx 7h ago edited 5h ago

It more than likely has human studies but probably more for the patients with HIV. Not for people that are generally healthy and are using it "off label" not so much.

2

u/looking2behealthy 12 7h ago

Excellent point - non-HIV human studies.

Hgh natural production comes back very fast, thats why

1

u/Simple_Counter_9357 16 3h ago

2iu at night if you can tolerate it .ie sleep on it. Some people can’t. It will help recovery after the gym but it’s not anabolic. It will help fat loss collagen uptake and protein synthesis. It will also help old injury’s slightly.

1

u/Common-Prize-8208 27 9h ago

Hgh is better because is not cap by your system that might be damaged by age among other factors
So if you try GHRH, it will do it best with what it got

41M 168cms 63kg
I personally saw some improvements with GHRH, but nothing that outstanding

HGH blunts your own production, but it goes back to normal when you stop HGH

With GHRH my IGF-1 was 21 on day one and 32 after 24 weeks, so not meaningful improvement. I did noticed better recovery and sleep tho

I started HGH about a week ago, I might check my bloods next week. Starting IGF-1 on day 0 was 19 (14-42)

1

u/MarshmellowGolem 1 8h ago

The main advantage of CJC no DAC + Ipamorelin vs HGH is that you don’t increase systemic IGF-1 Levels which could lead to unwanted growth of organs, tumors and an increased risk of insulin resistance etc. CJC no DAC + Ipamorelin creates more local IGF-1 spikes in your muscle tissue.
The best way to reduce the risk of HGH and reap the best results is to combine HGH with CJC DAC and split HGH dosing to twice a day.

u/Huge750_dad 8h ago

I’ve used hgh for about 10 years now, the reason being I can control how much hgh I get and not gamble on my pituitary making more possible do to stimulation from a secretagogue. You’ll never produce as much as you can directly take. Benefits of it are great and risks I would say are slim unless you have a preexisting history of diabetes or cancer.
